The amhara are again abusing the system in Ethiopia, where information about COVID-19 is given in Amharic, language spoken by maybe 30% of the population ( Urbanisation in Ethiopia is 10%, thus Ethiopians living in rural areas do not get information about COVID-1 as the information is in Amharic - a minority tribal language) Regions like Tigray do have their own network. But Telecome sends the warning message only in Amharic. This is indirectly causing harm to non-amharas by deliberately not informing in a manner they understand- thus exposing them to infection and death through COVID-19.

We call the UN to force Ethiopia to inform non-Amhara Ethiopians about COVID 19 in their mother tongues.

Prevention is better then cure.
Information about COVID-19 to non-amhara Ethiopians in the language they speak and understand is more important than any thing else.
