Ethiopia making a major milestone: Today

There is a saying which goes like "major events cast their shadows before them" and if you want to make a big impact, then hit where it matters most.
Ethiopia is a country where almost 85% or so of the population rely on agriculture and its by products. If you can succeed in making an impact on this big chunk, then you can also be sure that you will make the needed impact successfully.
We have been trying to make an impact on the minor section of the population (the rest 15%) so far but the problem was that the impact was not felt much beyond the section itself, simply also due to the size factor.
May be this is a big event in the history of the country, provided that the needed subsequent and due management of these tools is taken care of with due diligence, the day when Ethiopian farmers started to shift their primitive tool of ploughing the land with oxen to the modern tool of tractors. This is a big milestone.
We have said before the major factor in increasing production in the future is in increasing the productivity through efficiency and modernizing the tools used in production.
The young energetic and new breed of Ethiopia's leaders have just embarked on "Economic Revolution in The Country" by means of modernizing the agricultural tools, and empowering Ethiopian farmers to make the big impact in the country.

He himself looks like and ox and it is a good idea to stop oxens from the ppls.
per your argument modern farming doean't nessesarly mean mechanization only. Actually ethiopian farmers major problem is that they rely on the weather.
So irrigation should be the priority not useless chinees tractor.

This is how tplf dogs shout when they see positive out side their barren territory! Enjoy the news you heard will continue until Oromia feeds you all! Oromia has no culture of stealing from others to build its land but tplf and its dogs! Enjoy the stinging cold resulted from this good news!!

Hawzen,
you are right, yes God bless Ethiopia, our region and beyond, only then we can live in a blessed world.
You are also right that a prosperous Ethiopia is good for the whole region, if not for anything else, just because of its sheer size. If Ethiopia gets prosperous then it will have a potential of taking others along with it.
In my view, yes we can make a stride towards that prosperity when we cooperate and coordinate our respective efforts instead of keeping ourselves on a competing course. After all we may have differing views on political issues, but we shouldn't have differing stand on the wellbeing of the whole people of our region and beyond, if we are rational thinking humans.

In somaliland we mostly rely on green houses and drip irrigation. This technology is best option for barren regions like Tigray and afar. We are almost getting self sufficient when it comes to green vegetables and tomatoes.
