Badme has been proven as Eritrean territory but the people there who are Ethiopians can remain as Ethiopians and fly the Ethiopian flag on their houses. The UN and a Transitional Eritrean Council can administer the town and territory...and remove the excuse that Ethiopia has not returned Badme to Eritrea...but the UN handed over the territory to Legitimate Democratically Elected Eritrean Government and the UN is there to protect the human rights of Eritreans who want democratic republic governance as well as to protect the Ethiopians. Ethiopia won't leave Badme without getting something in return. The EPLF fought a 30 year war which costed Ethiopia hundreds of billions and destroyed the whole economy. The EPLF then declared war on Ethiopia and was defeated but at the cost of thousands of Ethiopian soldiers dying.

The only way Ethiopia will leave Eritrea is land exchange and currently the only place I can think of is one of the Eritrean islands. This will secure Ethiopia's geopolitical interest and the army morale will remain stable.
