The "Global Alliance For the Rights of Ethiopians" led by Tamagn Beyene, started to raise money in order to support the Ethiopian people against COVID-19.

Although the drive started the same day as the Eritrean COVID-19 Response Fund (March 26, 2020), they, however, managed to raise, as of this day of writing, less than US$ 600,000.

When compared to the US $2.7 million raised by the Eritrean diaspora for the same purpose, the Ethiopian diaspora needs to get their [deleted] together and support their people back home, irrespective of their political or ethnic affiliation. Why? Because the coronavirus knows no ethnicity or border.

If not dealt early and in a coordinated fashion, COVID-19 kills EVERYBODY.

My Weyane boss kerenite/eden from Adwa has every reason to be angry at the Eritreans who raised $3.4 million dollars for Coronavirus prevention in their homeland. The other day, he said the Coronavirus is a "blessing in disguise" for us Weyane, because, through the chaos, it will create an opportunity for us Weyane to declare the independence of our Republic of Greater Tigray dream.
