Gudelamharu stole the word Fano from Tigray, but the worst is hearing bantugudifechas insulting Oromos using the G word.

Simien Mountain Tigreans like Mesafinti wedi Tesfu took the Tigrean word Fano and passed it to GudelaAmharu specially Gonderams who now think Fano is their term. It is the most laughable blind thinking ever. GudelaAmharu might steal the word Weyane a hundred years from now and brag that it is their ancient culture to be weyane much like they are now openly lying to us that Fano is gudelaAmharu tradition.
Do they know Tigreans had been singing about Fano for thousands of years prior to the era when Amharu creole was invented by commander Hadani of Axum around 11th century?
Tigreans still sing : Fano Ye Fano teXemXimkaya zeytiHadir Kem Shigemano!
It is Tigrean university students who, in the 60s or 70s, introduced the word Fano to the University Campuses in Addis in particular and to Addis/Ethiopia in general. According to the history books of Ethiopian student struggle by Dr Taddesse and Prof Gebru Tareke: "Fano tesemara bedur begedelu Hizbun enditmera" , the popular student fervor, was invented by Tigrean student leaders( specifically Meles Tekle and Sibhat wubneh) in Addis Abeba University.
