Abdelaziz died this week from coronavirus, the third person to die in the state from the pandemic that has infected over 24,000 people across the country.
Health officials in Farifax County, Va., one of the closest counties outside Washington, D.C., confirmed the death of the man in his 60s in a Saturday statement. The county's health department confirmed that the man acquired coronavirus "through contact with a previously reported case."
His cause of death was "respiratory failure as a result of COVID-19," according to the Saturday statement from the Fairfax County Health Department.
The Virginia Department of Health also reported two deaths this week in the Peninsula Health District.
