One mistake Solomon said about US political parties contributions. They have two options, one is get contributions from the public and the federal matches the contribution or finance it from your own pocket without any limitation. But if get contribution from public then there is a limitation one person can contribute $1000 regardless your wealth. No one has the right to contribute what ever he or she wants. Some companies provide money to their employees and contribute to the politician they want to help but this is not legal, it is illegal and no politician can get money from foreign country individuals or government, huge federal crime if found.

PAC - Multicandidate $5,000 per election $15,000 per year
