As Gereb Segen number 1 and 2 are completed , gereb giba has finished its phase 1

The Dams, water purification facilities, and supply systems of Gereb Segen 1 and Gereb Segen 2 were built exclusively by tigrean engineers. Both of them are supplying mekele with the best water in Ethiopia.They are also used for irrigation.
Gereb Giba is a multibillion birr water project and is progressing good. phase 1 is finished. Phase 2 will start soon.
When finished Mekele will become one of the few cities in the world with the cleanest and most plentiful water supply.
