Two years a go Jawar Mohamed was the most influential and active player in Oromo politics.Today, his status is no more than a Facebook based activist just like a thousand others in the country. The 'Calculator' he claimed to have created appears to have multiplied himself by a very low fraction.

Here is why the 'Calculator' malfunctioned and computed the wrong equation:

- The ruling party reformed itself and fully controlled the security apparatus of the country since the summer of 2019;
- The Querro (local youth) network was systematically dissolved;
- Jawar's network within the OPDO evaporated when Lemma,Teyiba, and other hardliners were removed from the Oromia government;
- Dissolution of OPDO itself into a national party which trashed out narrow minded and extremest Oromo nationalists from the party;
- A division within Oromo extremists (mostly clan and region based - Shoa, Wollega, Harar, Jimma, Bale, Arsi, etc...) created suspicion and animosity among the various groups.

It is not only to Jawar to every tribal politician in Ethiopia now the political climate is grim, and the future will be much worse. The tribal politicians have ruled for nearly three decades. During that time, they had plenty of time to move the country from artificial tribal animosity between tribes that they manufactured to real unity. But they failed miserably. Instead, their ruling birthed new tribal activists, and Jawar is an example.
Jawar is not a political expert as some believed him to have been. He is way far from being an expert.
Even if he has had a basic knowledge of Ethiopian politics, forget the expertise, he should have known OPDO was a TPLF creature, which does not define Oromia.
Now, TPLF out of the political picture, the OPDO it created could not survive to serve the master which does not exist.
The OPDO non-existent, the extremists sidelined, Jawar is no more, as the article suggested, more than being a Facebook activist.
He thought a refugee in Merrara’s party. That too is a pretty bad move.
The way I see it the Merrara political future is not that much better than of Jawar. To the 21 st century residents tribal politics is too obsolete.
If Jawar has any sense left to him, he should avoid politics. If he has no way of going back to USA, he should seek employment in Ethiopia and try to make a decent living.

Rent a truck and use it to run over Jawar at Minnesota airport

Before a year or so I didn't know a name called Taye Danda'a Adero in the Ethiopian politics, while Jawar was making every political scene over-croweded with his over inflated ego and claim of everything and anything out of the blues. He claimed that he is a leader of a parallel government in the country, as an instance. In all of his public appearances during those days he consistently claimed that he can remove the government from power instantly if it doesn't behave the way he expected of it.

Fast forward to 2020 Jawar and his over-inflation evaporated into the thin air and "successfully" became a toy for Obbo Taye Danda'a, who now makes consistent and humous comments about the guy and coined the name Girazmach Girissa for him recently.

I am enjoying everyday the humorous comments of Obbo Taye on his Facebook page about the guy.

Jawar has subdued himself to an average Qeerroo on the street except that he still can run to his tv-station and make endless statements, which is also now under a threat from the oversight authorities in the country.

Everything is not running well for the guy, he is more or less finished within a short life span. Ye chekele qend yeneksal indembalew hone yesu neger.
