never knew singer betty g speaks good english like this
etv english interview with betty g.
Re: never knew singer betty g speaks good english like this
So much overcompensation. First make sure your lessons are right before you attempt to teach people.
2. I've never known singer Betty G speaks good English
2. I've never known singer Betty G to speak good English.
Which is similar to:
1. I've never known a Shabia to exist without insecurities
2. I don't know any single Shabia without insecurities.
But good for you for fixing that comma problem.

Somaliman and opmerc,
Did you two by any chance have some contributions in preparing the English Language part of the famous ESLCE? I remember when more than deciphering a conceptual expression, instead of just deciphering, was a necessity, or so it seemed. I also remember when it appeared a graduate of Addis Ababa's Faculty of Technology seemed to clearly understand the difference between deciphering a concept and more than doing so after he did his second degree in the UK. It makes a difference between learning and testing. Don't get me wrong. I am not being critical of your efforts here to correct.
opmerc, you give the impression that you have invested your security in your ability to write the English language.

No I don't. It is odd that that is what you got from this exchange. And it's better if you get context first before you involve yourself in dialogue that wasn't directed at you or about you.Naga Tuma wrote: ↑13 Mar 2020, 18:25Somaliman and opmerc,

But seeing as you want to mix in, Somaliman aka Zemeselo was going around trying to antagonize people instead of owning up to his own bitter feelings with his own name and account. Since he was too much of a b1tch to own up to it or stop, I thought I would give him a taste of how profoundly stupid he looks.
There. Now you are all caught up.
Re: never knew singer betty g speaks good english like this
It would be odd to think that you expressed your English grammar knowledge because it was directed at you or it was about you. It is equally odd that any other person would engage in a simple grammar exercise because he thought it was directed at him or it was about him. It only shows a projection of the state of your faculty.opmerc wrote: ↑13 Mar 2020, 21:19No I don't. It is odd that that is what you got from this exchange. I didn't say I responded because it was directed at me.Naga Tuma wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 14:08It would be odd to think that you expressed your English grammar knowledge because it was directed at you or it was about you. I was showing this poorly disguised Shabia and all his other bitter sisters that belittling people is not the best way to feel better about ones own failures and bitterness. This is because there is always someone who can do it back. And I am that someone.
Context would have helped you see that and that me doing it projects my annoyance at bullies. Doubly so when they hide behind other identities so those identities can be blamed for it.
My "faculties" can be expressed following every sad post they make and correcting them, grammar or otherwise. But that would not be fruitful because it would be a waste of my time. So I'll stick to some desperate ones like this and leave the rest for everyone else.
But enough of that. Betty G deserves the accolades for this achievement. I hope she does great work with it.

Easy on this dude! I've seen him jumping the gun based on assumptions- in this case, Somaliman was supposed to be Eritrean/and you should have not involved in that because that wasn't directed at you or about you.
Here is what Somaliman wrote years back:

Somali,
I`m Somali/Somalian and a man and that is what my username reflects. Contrary To what to others believe, I think you are Somali, but due to your low mental age you are making monumental mistakes. How can a Somali advertise Eritrea and its dictator and demonise Tigrayans without reason!! Apart pathetics like you, Somalians have good sentiments without distinction towards both Ethiopians and Eritreans. However ineffective the Ethiopian intervention into Somalia has been, it is worth to remind that Ethiopia undertook a very risky mission that no other country had dared. Ethiopia has not invaded Somalia, it has intervened the Somali chaos with good faith, and most of casualties have been inflicted by tribal warlords with islamist shirts, ICU which stands for Inter Clan Union summarizes the whole scenario.
I`m rather surprised by Shalom and our baby Ghion who frantically rejoice at the clashes in Somalia. This is not a war between Somalia and Ethiopia, and to my knowledge there is no Tigrayan Army in Somalia. Ethiopian soldiers in Somalia are not fighting a war for your information.

Yep. I'm one of the paranoid and narrow-minded ones who form my opinions solely based on assumptions.
You just reminded me the story my wise friend once emailed me:
A party of visitors was being given a tour of a mental hospital.
One of the visitors had made some very insulting remarks about the patients.
After the tour the visitors were introduced to various members of staff in the canteen.
The rude visitor chatted to one of the security staff, Bill, a kindly and wise ex-policeman.
"Are they all raving loonies in here then?" said the rude man.
"Only the ones who fail the test," said Bill.
"What's the test?" said the man.
"Well, we show them a bath full of water, a bucket, a jug and an egg-cup, and we ask them what's the quickest way to empty the bath," said Bill.
"Oh I see, simple - the normal ones know it's the bucket, right?"
"No actually," said Bill, "The normal ones say pull out the plug. Should I check when there's a bed free for you?"
Re: never knew singer betty g speaks good english like this
Don't worry about what I know or what I'm assuming. What should concern you is how none of you can do anything about your bitterness except take turns with useless accounts spamming Ethiopian forums while your own country rots from inside out.
Maybe this wise friend can email you something about that.
