President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, After only 21 months since his inauguration in March 2018, announce to build a new capital city that replaced the old city at cost 60 billion dollar... the question is where he get his water ..?
Reclaiming the desert is not new in Egypt... Mubarak also tried his revolutionary pro in Egypt in the early 2000s. The plan was to create a new, artificial Nile valley in the desert lands of southern Egypt, by pumping water out of the Aswan Dam into long canals filled with irrigation water.
my question is not why Egypt building a new city.. my question is they tell us to stop 4 billion dam but they r building 60 billion new city .. where is the water coming from .. why no Ethiopian official tell them to stop this brand new city until we have agreement on water use.. why nobody talk about this and many failed attempt by Egypt to green the desert .. now let us look the new city how project is coming up
What i want to tell Egypt is they need 5 billion cubic meter: this water could have been gotten had Egypt improved their flood irrigation system to drip irrigation alone .... not only new city but Egypt trying to greening the desert at cost of 70 billion dollar.. had Egypt are smart had they spend only one billion dollar to plant tree inside Ethiopia they would have gotten all the water they need.. and Nile dam also protect them from desertification because Ethiopians will stop cutting wood for cooking this alone increased the value of water available for Egypt ...
i think someone from Ethiopia must tell the Egypt it is their project Nile dam and have a lot of benefit for them as well.. instead the Egyptian try to stop us from building using the old colonial treaty once Meles interviewed to respect the old colonial treaty he told them he did not break the treaty .. he is not damming the water or stopping or arresting the water.. dam vs hydro dam .. have big difference Dam stop the water but hydro dam released the water to generate power if we dont released the water we dont produce power so Ethiopian intention is to produce power. and you cant produce power if u kept the water u must released it.. in order to get hydro power ...
if someone ask about Egypt veto power over Nile . the simplest thing to do is asking them to show u the treaty not in English but in Amharic if they match..if both English and Amahric treaty doesnt match then it make the treaty invalid
not only that when Egypt make a deal with Sudan .. Egypt herself break the colonial treaty .. hence they cant tell us to respect it while they break it .. if they can make deal with Sudan regardless of the treaty why not now...
part two coming soon
