I agree with the Ethiopian foreign minister. I read the statment ; it is partisan. But what really makes me wonder is why the the US Treasury Secretary happens to be the man who gave the ultimatum to Ethiopia? I do not think it is his area of expertise. If the State Department involved, it might make a little more sense. However, no matter who issued the ultimatum, including the US president, Ethiopia has the right to not allow be dictated.

Apparently you never follow the global situations. It might be a year ago when Wall Street declared water is now as commodity just like grains etc that could be on stock therefore whenever World Bank/IMf with wallstreet declare that that means, the take over of waters around the world and more than anything Nile is the best commodity. Hence that is why, the negotiators have always been wall street/ world bank/imf, etc.

Ethoash, reread what Selam wrote. USA is a mediator, not a stake holder. If Ethiopia believes with a mediator the negotiation might be fruitful, and chooses to go with it, she always has the power to choose a mediator. Ethiopia agreed USA to be a mediator. And Ethiopia however has the right to say Ethiopia does not believe anymore USA will be an impartial mediator. Case closed.
