First, you shouldn’t do everything China told you to do even if you are deaf and stone-head. Cultural and historical preservation can be a source of economic development without any industrial component. There are other places appropriate for sugar factory though they are a bit further away from Dedebit & therefore not easy to be a cash cow for Woyane looters.

Second, refer to my other thread regarding the plight of Muslims in Tigray. Allow them first to build a mosque in Axum and then we will discuss how waldeba can also compromises its sacred status. KIFU!

Buda Woyane - which monasteries did you visit in US or Italy? I know you didn’t. Even if you did, I advise you to rather see the life of a Tibetan monk. Unlike catholic nuns, they fully deprive themselves of all worldly matters, which I think is similar to Ethiopian monks.

Yes, the Waldeba monks may look filthy in your kifu eyes and I understand where that perception came from. Your cruel dead frog once ridiculed poor church-goer moms. What he missed there is that he is in fact worse than them in that he wears nice and sharp suit to conceal his khat-addict, sinful and dirty heart. He amassed wealth through theft and bribery whereas the Waldeba monks are pretty much autonomous. They didn’t ask you for your clothing; they didn’t ask you to change their living conditions; they don’t want anything from the government or from anybody. Every part of their life is self-supporting and sustainable. Why do you want to disturb them? Just because communist China is antagonistic to Tibet doesn’t mean Ethiopia should also alter its monastic lifestyle.
