This is their last hurrah. They just have no where to go after this year. They have no prospect of becoming their own country. The economic heft, diplomatic support and the basis for sovereignty are not there. They have no prospects to return to power in the Ethiopian capital either. For the next 50 years, they will be on the outside looking in. Basically, they are headed nowhere and they know it. All they’re doing is frustrating themselves by copying Eritrean nationalism.
