The chronicle of the on-going putsch in Ethiopia

The first major publicly reported attempt to unseat Dr. Abey Ahmed’s government, as part of an still an on-going plot to the same goal, was in the form of an assassination on the occasion of the major public rally, in June of 2018, in Addis Ababa, perhaps the biggest in the country’s recent history. Those involved in the plot reportedly claimed later on as the reason for their acts was to bring OLF to power because, according to their claim, OLF is the main and older organization “fighting” for the cause of the Oromo people and as such deserved to be in power, not OPDO, according to major media reports from back then.
Ever since have been several attempts that went on relentlessly, among others in the form of sending a battalion of armed military unit to the national palace to besiege the government and kill the PM, in an attempt to remove him from power.
Later on OLF also declared that it will not going to disarm itself, because, according to its claim, it didn’t come home to disarm itself. Many attempts were made to disarm it, but the entity refused consistently to disarm itself and finally claimed it has "divorced" itself from its own military wing, in order to disguise itself and appear to pursue a peaceful political campaign in the country for its “cause”.
Finally, we have now reached at a point where some regions are openly calling for organizing themselves to defend their own son, sacrificing everything possible, including their lives. This final appearance of publicly opposing views from different regions will also make it clear that the beginning of the end of the so called Oromo turn in ruling the country. We all remember when many media organizations were busy reporting about the first Oromo PM. Oromo didn’t want to come together and protect its turn to rule and will going to lose very soon, because Oromo divided on regional boundaries will be the nightmare scenario of which we didn’t see so far in the whole of their history in Ethiopia.
Someone from Jimma summarized it saying “ine kemotku serdo aybkel”, which says it in a precise and fitting way.
