Notable quotes, from PIA's interview.

Post by Zmeselo » 07 Feb 2020, 15:17

The extraordinary resilience of the Eritrean people during the brutal armed struggle & challenging years that ensued must be applauded and what has been achieved now would not have had happened, was it not for the strength and endurance of the Eritrean people.
Ethiopia's stability plays a huge role, to a stabile region/HOA. We don't want to go back to where we were, so is time to work to a better situation in Ethiopia.
Much of the misfortunes that threatened our very existence, have their origin in Ethiopia. Therefore deeper engagment, while respecting 🇪🇹s soverginity, is not a choice. It is an imperative.
Ethiopia needs to prevent conflicts from starting, rather than trying to mange them after they get out of hand. Currently, we are observing political leaders who are exploiting the polarization of the past 29 years. Dangerous!
Eritrea opposes polarization of any society and must work deligently, to reverse such kind of dangerous politcs.
The main spoiler in Ethiopia is still, the TPLF gang. Ethiopians, need to make the right choice. Thinking, they can change the mindset of the TPLF is futile. They particularly need to be aware, of the motives of outsiders.
We are against any politics that polarizes people, be it in Iraq, Somalia, Sudan or anywhere. we should be weary, of this sort of thinking. We need to be aware of the witch doctors, who prescribe dangerous and destructive politics.

The resilience, resourcefulness & sheer determination of our people remains the indispensable power that enabled Eritrea overcome all trials and tribulations.
There never was a border dispute, with Ethiopia. The war was orchestrated by the TPLF junta, bolstered up by external henchmen to further their agenda.
It was not only the TPLF; there were outside forces who applauded and cheered its dangerous ethnically polarizing politics. It was these forces that supported and propped the TPLF regime, in its war against Eritrea.
After concluding Eritrea won’t serve their interests, target 1 was the the people! No stone was left unturned, yet we succeeded. But the success belongs to the people, because they faced the challenges head on & won!
We had warned Ethiopia as early as early 1994, before the 1995 elections, that in the name of self determination their constitution that blessed the ethnically based federation arrangement was dangerous, they didn’t care to listen.

If the Eritrean population hadn’t steadfastly and resiliently defended its unity and sovereignty, the peace we have now wouldn’t be a reality. The "mekhete" of the Eritrean people is indeed, of historic proportions.
It is imperative: Engagement with Ethiopia. Return Ethiopia to some normalcy. Ensure the end of Weyane. It is easy to create hate. It is not easy to make peace! Ethiopia in dire situation, but that will only strengthen our resolve to fix!
In a reactionary political ploy of the TPLF, it continues to work on the brain drain of Eritrea|n youth in conjunction with UNHCR, to weaken the state and sabotage the peace process with Ethiopia.
Though I have been part of it for decades, I am still amazed by the determination & resilience of the Eritrean people to defeat all kinds of conspiracies against it. Its unity has overcome the politics of division, through the years.
TPLF, even as it finds itself immersed in total bunkraputcy, has and continues to engage in an act of an all out destructiveness. This shouldn't derail 🇪🇷 & 🇪🇹 from the path of peace, solidarity and prosperity.
The undertones of ethnic frictions amplified by the TPLF caused the current situation of vertical polarisation and that PM Abiy should be commended, for his efforts to reverse this dangerous pattern.

The TPLF vertical polarization of Ethiopia needs to be told “Game Over”, or enough is enough. It is not acceptable, by anyone. The decision taken by the current central government of Ethiopia, was courageous.
Because of the bankrupt gang of the TPLF, is making the border situation around Badme worse than it was. It is obsessed to reverse the reform in Ethiopia, by frustrating the peace with Eritrea. They are beating the drums of encirclement.
The TPLF agenda is to weaken Eritrea, by dividing it along ethnic and religious lines. Along with the UNHCR it had built scores of refugee centers in Tigray, to drain Eritrea of its youth.

Thank you Zmeselo for pointing out the quotable quotes of the Lion of Naqfa. I was guiding my crew and couldn't take time out to watch the interview.

You want him to fix the damage of 2 decades within 2 years? A bit unrealistic. You will have to be patient for at least another 3,4 years my friend. At this point he doesnt need hollow threats. He should be encouraged and told he's doing well. Thank you Issu for killing off buda weyanes. Keep up the good work. After all hes getting old now, wont be long till he passes the torch to someone young. Those with thin patience can wait. Otherwise Issu wont be the only problem you will have to deal with.

Thanks for translating Issu’s interview to English. Abiy’s plan of containment of the evil tigreas is working. Issu and woyane are obsessed of each other and the day they finish each other will be the beginning of the new chapter for us.
The status quo should continue and encouraged until at least we build our TPlf free Air Force and new navy...

You are Absolutely right.
It was my point earlier in another thread. I haven't heard anything new on this new interview that makes us hopeful. It is always about a third party's fault....why we couldn't move forward in development and other important issue. Weyane is Dead...and no longer a threat to us. It has no central power, manpower, such as mindsweeper (Fengi Regach), money or Western backers anymore....Shaebia has much more firepower and determination to crash any of our enemies.

I just can't understand why we can't have constitution, elections and free media while still preparing for the worst for any eventuality? What that has to do with Weyane? I think people back home are in a point where they see him removed by force.....this worthless interview re-enforces their wishes. The last thing I want to see PIA is remaining in his power like Mugabe in his 90th after the country is completely destroyed. Look what Mugabe left a country behind.....he was too greedy to leave his power in grace to a younger and energetic leadership with new idea, rather, he chose to die, taking once rich country in Africa with him to his grave.

No Eritrean Expects him to Correct the Problems that He has Created and Continue to Cause!...The Solution to the Domestic Problems in Eritrea is his Assassination or Execution!! He Needs to Go! He is Useless to Eritrean People!

Just a Stumbling Block and a DEFEATIST!

Isayas Afwrki is a DEFEATIST Dictator! A Defeatist Dictator is one that constantly tells you of "shortages, pitfalls, problems, and why nothing can be done" while at the same time saying "they need to remain in charge of this falsely created sinking ship called Eritrea!....

He is a Defeatist-Dictator and completely useless to Eritrean people in Eritrea and in the Diaspora!

I know which Eritrean villages I come from....

Isayas Afwrki is a false immigrant of Adi Tselot on his father side...and he has no other legit Eritrean dekibatnet! he is not from Eritrea in anyway...none of his cousins, family live or have villages in Eritrea...but they have legit connections to Tigray though... I think you should go call Isayas Afwrki, Agame instead of me.

Oh you can tell me which Community center, City Address, when you would like to meet me...I am Shaebia 0-___
