Lidetu has become more opportunist as times goes by. He tailors his message considering to whom he speaks. His argument might satisfy the TPLF old guards, but would be ridiculed by the great majority of Ethiopians.
His whole argument is foreign powers have interfered in Ethiopian internal affairs since Abiy came to power. Is this theory strange?
Of course. When TPLF came to power almost thirty years ago, Americans had smoothed out the transition. They convinced Mengistu to take his ... to Zimbabwe. And they convinced Mugabe to offer him a place to live. TPLF moved to Addis with lightening speed. Lidetu that was foreign intervention. But some argue that was done to prevent bloodshed.
