I don’t think he is lying. I think he’s just at an earlier stage of the learning curve. Remember that the TPLF leadership made the decisions for EPRDF for like 30 years. The capable Oromo and Amara elites stayed out of EPRDF and the weaker ones joined the EPRDF. These are the elites that are burdened with ruling. There’s serious deficiency in governance and administration as well as internal security and foreign affairs because TPLF has always filled that for them. I don’t even think they are bad intentioned. They are just incompetent. That’s how I look at it.

eden,
If you tend to be honest, I respond genuinely.
I consider your comment but not necessarily fully agree. In terms of Oromo intellectuals, you are right. But when it comes to Amhara elites, there is
weraji (ወራጅ). The latter used to work with TPLF formally as members or informally under cover to advice TPLF against Oromo nation's interest. That is fact you can't beat.
To be specific, I know many Amhara elites as advisers of TPLF but only on issue of how to keep Oromo and Oromia as subject of habesha. Many of this category are/were in AAU and MFA.
