Thanks to METEC and Aboy Tsehaye, after nine years, the Dam has consumed close to 99 billion Br and has reached 68.6pc completion, generating no power so far. It already has close to 20 billion Br in cost overruns and requires an estimated 40 billion Br in addition for completion.

The foundation stone of the project was laid on April 2, 2011, with the nation witnessing a rare show of solidarity between the opposition and the ruling parties, which joined hands in support of the construction of the hydroelectric dam. It had an initial estimated cost of 80 billion Br. However, after 9 years from inception and 4 years after scheduled completion, here we are talking about the dam that was designed to never come to be.

The Dam was kicked off in five phases: a contract signing that was meant to be finalised during the first quarter of 2011; impounding that should have been started in the second quarter of 2013; early generation, scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of 2014; and the completion of civil work was planned to be concluded in 2016. The completion was scheduled for mid-2017.

The project was meant to keep weyanes on power for eternity. It was a cash cow scheme. Tplf never does anything good. Theres always a catch. Egypt was supposed to be the other boogeyman besides Eritrea. Unfortunately for them they lost it all before they could reap the benefits. God works in mysterious ways.

Yes sir ! TPLF has never had any good intentions towards the Ethiopian state. All they wanted was to milk the country dry and make the dream of Aby Tigrai come true on the ashes of Ethiopia and Eritrea. All their actions was targeted to weaken the country to finally dismantle it after taking everything that they possibly could. That was a pipe dream !. Now they are licking the self inflicted wound at their shhyt hole aka planet hotel. Karma is a biaatchhh !
