Laboratory Result Announcement

We have been experimenting with the so called ethnic based federalism in Ethiopia for about 30 years now. It is natural to announce the result of the experimentation and take a decision on the future course of action, after so much time and resources have been spent on the exercise.
Accordingily, Ethnic federalism has failed in Ethiopia, if not worse as much as the unitary system it tried to replace as an alternative. Both didn't work, let's try to find a yet another alternative, the Third Way.
This Third-Way will try to take some good parts of the unitary system and mend it with similarily good parts of the federalism systme to come up with a synthesis of those two parts and deal with that for the coming number of years. It should be assumed to perform better than the two preceeding systems, as it selectively take the better parts of its precedents and construct a synthetic of the two good parts.
The important yardticks of the new system should be in its accomplishment of eliminating the weakest elements of the precedents while retaining the good parts.
No more a need to dwell on something which has already failed and waste yet more time. Instead start afresh with something neweer and better than the old ones.
