Oromos used their 'abba gada flag' in their irreecha festivals celebrated within Oromia. No Oromos or residents of Oromia oppose that flag. On the other hand, 'Menelik's limut imperial flag' is seen by Oromos, Tigres, Somalis, Southern tribes, etc, as the symbol of orthodox habeshas's imperialist expansion that rendered the whole of southern Ethiopian tribes into slaves (gabbar, etc).

Also, no Oromos, Tigres or southern tribes oppose the use of that flag in Amhara Kilil where, obviously, it attracts no significant opposition until now. But, even this is changing in Amhara Kilil as the indigenous Agaw, Qimant, Weito, Wollo-Oromo & AMHARA MUSLIMS start opposing the use of the limut flag. Have you noticed how Amhara muslims carried the federation flag (the one containing the blue star) in their recent matches to condemn the burning of mosques & businesses owned by muslims in the town of Mota in Amhara Kilil? .. Why do you think that was necessary?

Anyway, the limut flag is a problematic flag that is opposed by a significant % of Ethiopians including a sizable % of Ethiopians who happen to be the followers of the Ethiopian orthodox church! [Orthodox Oromos, Kambatas, Sidamas, Tigres, Gambellans, Gumuzes, etc]. Therefore, it is better NOT to use the limut flag at timket celebrations.

If flags must be used at timket festivals, it is better to use the federation flag which, at least, is a constitutionally agreed-upon flag for now. Clear? .. Whatever ..

You forgat Arrarsa ysbello...a pagans such as yourself don't know what Temket is all about and whatever kind of pieces colored cheek you bring it doesn't resonat. You are trying to to be who you are not. Timket is not like drowning a lively cow in lake or socking a tree with [deleted]. The uppty Tsegay when that is going to sink in ?
