The Trump administration deserves recognition for abandoning the failed previous US administration’s policy in the Horn African region. It was a bold move to go through a soft coup on a friendly EPRDF regime that was serving their interest in the region and it was a bloodless smooth transfer of power for the most part even though the TPLF leaders instead of giving up power altogether, they are cornered in a northern province of Ethiopia.
Not only the bold H.E President Trump’s move bring peace to Ethiopia, also brought peace to Eritrea and Somalia, countries that were victims of failed US foreign policy.
Poor Ethiopia can not run to adventurous wars with out outside sponsors and the sponsors need to learn from their past mistakes and the suffering they inflicted to the people in the Horn countries.
Eritrea needs to learn that Ethiopian regimes are prone into being used by outsiders, for that fact, Eritrea needs to work on improving its relations with superpowers if it wants to avoid future conflicts.
The current regime in Ethiopia can start a war against Eritrea or Somalia tomorrow, if the mighty USA asks for it (truth...you can bank on it)

The soft coup on woyane and lifting sanctions on Eritrea was a simple move for Bolton, but it means the world to all the people in the Horn except TPLFITS.
Threat to Eritrea is from the superpowers (sponsors) not poor kedemti regime in Addis. Eritrea should worry and work on its relationship with the mighty USA, not with its kedemti abiy regime, Saudi or uae...

I’d say thanks God it ended the way TPlf rule ended. The driving factors were to your point the Ethiopian people rejecting TPlf rule, plus good will and encouragement from TPlf masters like the USA, and hard to praise them for me but TPlf leaders should be credited too for facing reality and handing over power with out Not much blood shed.
We’ll leave it to historians, but you couldn’t ask any better way of regime change...
You can compare other regimes totally rejected by their population, but won’t face reality and inflict damage to their people to protect their power, perfect example would be Syria (failed regime, but inflicting unimaginable destruction to the country because stubborn Assad wouldn’t leave peacefully)

The main reason why the US abandoned tplf is because tplf was rejected by all Ethiopians. Tplf was defeated politically, both exterior and enterior politics. Tplf was dead economically as well. So the Ethiopians already won before even trump came to power
