Yes, it is a membership Id card (of a political party). But still even if I am not an expert on the subject matter here, wounder if someone body is entitled to issue an id that is not based on fact.

The bearer of the id is not an Ethiopian, that much is not disputed. But the declaration on the id says so. How to reconcile such a descrepancy? What about if there is something to hide here?

ID card is supposed to identify. If you manipulate that descriptions on ID then, there must be some legal issue here, I am afraid.

Regardless of the legal questions and requirements, Jawar’s formal entry into Ethiopian politics is a positive thing. More so that he joined OFC.

No other politician knows more about the savagery and “ቡዳ ፖለቲካ” of TPLF than Merara Gidina. If Jawar was left by himself or with OLF only, it would have been worrisome. He and OLF could have potentially been tempted to align themselves with fascist TPLF. Now both Jawar (and Kerro behind him) and OLF forming alliance with OFC is really a major political breakthrough for the future of the country.

Dr. Abiy’s advice and vision for the ruling as well as opposition parties seems to be on track. Parties “ሰብሰብ” እያሉ ነው as they should.

Jawar is trying to escape from US on two things:
1) tax evasion
2) terror investigation

That said, unless he has returned his US citizenship or Abiy has instituted a dual nationality, he can't have an identity as Ethiopian. This is when we speak of law. However, in reality, fugitive terrorists can posses as many passports (from different countries) as they wish since all their path is through illegal channels. From this, if the guy is investigated, one would find many passports of Jawar, surely from some Arab countries.
