No one who took ESLCE exam in any Ethiopian kiflehagers/provinces ever scored a GPA of 4, only this guy did it during the early days of Dergue era. This guy did it, and it was not in Wingate, by them the school was closed by Dergue. I'm impressed!Hhe did it in one remote place called Shire, which was a war zone at this time. I really thought he is not smart this much , I found out he scored 0.4 more than me, I had 3.6 GPA, he got straight 4.0 GPA The guy is a scientist. TPLF immediately sent him to Rome after he joined it. He studied electronics related to communication and Rado in Italy when computers very in their infancy. After that he single-handedly engineered the set up Radio Dimtsi Weyane placed in a cave in mount Rasdashen.
Now He is an inventor, patent holder. His doctorate degree in technology is from Harvard and Cambridge. He studied electrical engineering in AAU (and did his masters in it) starting the fall of dergue. We may still call him debreporno,but we are starting to give him credit.
BTW: TPLF had many brilliant people. Seye was top Medical student like Meles. THey say even Getachew Asefa was one fearsome Seqay, as amharu allegedly called him, at wingate. THeysay Kinfew Dagnew was even better than Getachew Asefa. Kinfe was like his older Brother, martyred tegadalay Atsbaha, former top Medical student in Haileselase university, and their brilliant younger brother, the genius Isaias who single handedly modernized EthioTelecom, and now languishes in prison, while fa'gat bantugudifecha Meshrefet enjoys what Isaias created. Very unfair Ethiopia, to the hell withi, dand own to Budawg-gojie Abaye Tshye and Bariaw-saraya Ebuy Sibat for creating all the current mess in Ethiopia due to their destructive habit of Gimgema.
