TPLF is the only freedom fighter in which its top executives fought in battles and were martyred. Example, in 1973, during the extensive derg offensive in Temben ,in which derg used Helicopter Gunships( the first time ever in African wars at that time) and used the infamous Terara divisions trained by Eastern Europeans, TPLF lost one of its heroic, highly educated leader, one who hailed of Noble origin, Dr Rasworq Ketsela, brother of Ethiopian Airline's first captain, captain Amhara Ketsela. Dr Raswork Ketsela was martyred in Temben in that critical was in Temben,in 1973, while leading the gallant weyane fighters who fought a none stop war(1972-1973) to save the-then TPLF base in Temben, where TPLF became the ultimate victor of the chain of derg's orchestrated and multi-pronged offensives.
Get the facts of that war from the horse's mouth: Harvard graduated and veteran weyane tegadalay,Seye Abraha. Commander Seye Abraha, the military genius who led TPLF to victory over derg and wedimedhin, was one of the top TPLF commanders starting as early as 1972. Listen to him carefully. The video will blow off Meshrefet's fantasy.
Derg used Helicopter Gunships firstly on TPLF before deploying them on other rebel fighters in the region or even on Somalia.

Listen to Dr Aklilu TeTemke, who was the head of all field doctors(frontline doctors sent to that theatre . DR Aklilu served TPLF as lead field doctor in many major frontlines since that time till the demise of the Derg(Dr Abadi and Dr Kibreab Barnabas were the heads of the stationary medical care center of TPLF located in Shire and welkait) …. Dr Aklilu TeTemke( now Dr of public Health) is a hero who survived many critical battle wounds, much like top[ TPLF commanders like Samora, Hayelom , Saare, etc, who had sustained more than two dozen serious bullet wounds each. Sadly, these and other TPLF fighters still carry many bullets deeply embedded in their bones and flesh.

NB:
The 11,000 Italian graves in Temben's Werqamba and Wersege also tetify to Temben's remarkable history of epic, world-class heroism
