Eritrea participates at 17th Session of African Ministerial Conference

Eritrean Ambassadors to South Africa and South African countries and Kenya, Ambassador Saleh Omar and Ambassador Beyene Russom participated at the 17th session of the African Ministerial Conference held on 14 and 15 November in Durban, South Africa.

In his statement, Ambassador Saleh Omar indicated that the Eritrean farmers are engaged in sustainable water and soil conservation activities with a view to boost agricultural production and contribute in the effort to ensure food security. Ambassador Saleh went on to say that the Eritrean Government is giving due attention to enable farmers become beneficiaries of alternative energy aimed at boosting production and productiv



Ambassador Beyene Russom on his part delivered speech representing the Ambassadors stationed in Kenya and the United Nations Environment Program.

Qatar 'totally rejects' false accusations by Eritrean ministry

Qatar has totally rejected false accusations contained in a statement by the Eritrean Ministry of Information, stressing that Qatar has nothing to do with any factions or groups in Eritrea, a matter which the Eritrean government knows very well.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was surprised by the sudden issuance of the Eritrean statement by the Ministry of Information, instead of resorting to the diplomatic and legal channels that are recognised in the international community.

This raises suspicion about the real intentions and the parties behind this unrealistic statement,

the ministry's statement noted.

The statement said that Qatar had delivered a protest note in April to the Eritrea's ambassador to Qatar, expressing its disapproval and surprise at a similar statement issued by the Eritrean Ministry of Information.

The statement said:

The ambassador of Eritrea to the African Union had called on Qatar to mediate between his country and Djibouti in their border dispute in 2017, considering Qatar was the main negotiator of the peace agreement signed between the two countries in 2010, if the Eritrean government had any doubt about the truth of these ridiculous allegations issued by the Ministry of Information, it would not have made this request.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the Eritrean Ministry of Information to consider the facts and the roots of the problems, rather than accusations and falsification of the facts of a country where the friendly Eritrean people only have full respect and appreciation. -QNA

ኣቦይ ሓጎስ ድራር፡ ሓደ ካብ’ቶም ዓመት መጸ ብሚኒስትሪ ሕርሻ ንብሉጻት ገረብቲ ውልቀ-ሰባት ዝወሃብ ሽልማት ዝዕወቱ ዝነበሩ’ዮም። ኣቦይ ሓጎስ፡ ነዚ ሽልማት’ዚ ዝበቕዑ ዝነበሩ ንሓደ ምስ ነብሶም ዝተመባጽዕዎ ዕላማ ንምህራም ለይትን ቀትሪን ብዘይምሕላል ይሰርሑ ብምንባሮም’ዩ። ንሶም፡ ንዝኽሪ’ቶም ምእንቲ ናጽነት በጃ ዝሓለፉ 65 ሽሕ ሰማእታትና ብስም ነፍሲ-ወከፎም ሓሓንቲ ገረብ ክተኽሉ ምዃኖም ተመባጺዖም ሓምላይ ወፍሮም ጀሚሮም። ብረዚን ሕልናን ዓረ እምነትን ዝተበገሰን ንዝነቐለሉ ዕላማ ኣጽኒዑ ዝሕዝን ዓወቱ ርጉጽ’ዩ። ኣቦይ ሓጎስ ከኣ 65 ሽሕ ፈልሲ ገረብ ብስም ነፍሲ-ወከፍ ኤርትራዊ/ዊት ስዉእ/ቲ ተኺሉን ተኸናኺኑ ኣዕብዩን።



ኣቦይ ሓጎስ በዚ ዕላማ’ዚ ጥራይ ኣይዓገበን፤ ኣብኡ ክዓርፍ’ውን ኣይደለየን። ምኽንያቱ፡ ንህይወት ኩሉ ግዜ ንቕድሚት ዝደፍኣን ትርጕም ዘለዎ ህላዌ ዝህባን ዕላማ’ዩ። ስለዚ ድማ፡ ንህይወቶም ተወሳኺ ዕላማ ኣቐሚጦሙላ። ኣቦይ ሓጎስ፡ ብስም’ቶም ልኡላውነት ሃገር ንምውሓስን ወራሪ እግሪ ወያነ ንምቕርሳምን ዝሓለፉ 20 ሽሕ ሰማእታትና፡ ተወሰኽቲ 20 ሽሕ ኣግራብ ክተኽሉ ተበጊሶም። ክልተ ሽሕ (2,000) ፈልሲ ገረብ ምስተኸሉ፡ ኣብ’ቲ ዝፈትዉዎ ዕላማን መትከልን እናተረባረቡ ኣብ 2015 ካብ’ዛ ዓለም ተፈልዮም። እቲ ብስም ሰማእታትና ዝተኸልዎ ልዕሊ 67 ሽሕ ኣግራብ ግን ንመሬት ኤርትራን ነቶም ኣብ ከርሲ መሬት ኤርትራ ዓሪፎም ዘለዉ ሰማእታትናን ጽላል እናሃቡ፡ ነቶም ብህይወት ዘለና ድማ ግሩም ኣከባቢን ምዑዝ ኣየርን እናሃቡ ንኣቦይ ሓጎስ ወትሩ ከዘክሩና’ዮም።

ኣቦይ ሓጎስ፡ እቲ ዝተበገሰሉ ዕላማን ዝጨበጦ ዓወትን ኣዝዩ ረዚንን ኣብ ኤርትራና ድማ መዳርግቲ ዘይርከቦን’ዩ። ስለዚ፡ ሚኒስትሪ ሕርሻ ነቲ ዓመታዊ ንኣብነታውያን/ብሉጻት ገረብቲ ዓመታዊ 15 ግንቦት ዝህቦ ሽልማት ሓምላይ ወፍሪ፡ “ሽልማት ሓምላይ ወፍሪ ሓጎስ” እንተሰመዮስ፡ ነቶም ኣብነታዊ ኣቦን ነቲ ኣብ ነፍሲ-ወከፍ ኤርትራዊ ዜጋ ክሰርጽ ዘለዎ ሰናይ ግብሪን ወትሩ ናይ ሕልና ደወል ኰይኑ ክነብር ዓቢ እጃም መበርከተ።
