How can Abiy be expected to punish Jawar if he cannot punish Debretsion?

Abiy cannot forgive all the crimes committed before his coming to power, and attempt to punish crimes committed after his coming to power.
There is no spiritual, religious or metaphysical before and after Abiy calendar, it is delusional to think so. Before and after the crucification of Christ, we've all heard about that regarding sin. But there cannot be any before and after Abiy regarding crime. Abiy has no right to forgive Col. Mengistu or Azeb Mesfin, and then still lead a government with the mandate of punishing Jawar for crimes much less serious than Azeb and Mengistu committed.
Until he punishes woyane, Abiy will have no credibility and will simply look delusional for his grandiose framing of crimes as committed before and after Abiy coming to power. If he cannot put Azeb or Debretsion in prison, then he should let everybody in prison go home to his or her family.

Good point. One thing... I'm sure abay tsehaye, sebhat and co are worse than debretsion. But nonetheless you Have a point.

The whole group is guilty as charged, on many counts. There are no good guys and bad guys within the TPLF. These are the same people who sodomized prisoners, kidnapped activist, blew bombs on pedestrians and accused the victims of terrorism, the whole TPLF fish stinks from Azeb, Tedros Adhanom, all the way to the lowliest functionary. Of course you cannot punish every single one of the them, although they are guilty. You need to go after the leadership, and Debretsion is the nominal head of the group, so Tedros Adhanom, Azeb Mesfin, Abay Tsegaye, Sebhat Nega, Seyom Mesfin, they all need to face justice.

Abiy’s incompetent leader, who doesn’t like to deal with the root cause of all the chaos TPLF.
Remember Abiy needs Jawar more than Jawar needs him to extend his rule.
Jawar has base who would go die for him
Abiy has no base but a reluctantly confused supportive army
Don’t get confused the reality on the ground with the Elites dominated fake diaspora mass media
Look at the Sidama referendum result which is a rebuke to Abiy and a win for Jawar camp
