Re: Tamirat Layine (ግልጽ ደብዳቤ ለጠ/ሚ አቢይ አህመድ):: Stop Distortion Coated in the Biblical Context

Post by AbebeB » 02 Nov 2019, 16:08

Mr. Tamirat Layine was surrogate PM of TPLF dominated regime who used to rule Ethiopian empire. By the TPLF regime, he was labeled sugar licker and theft of house wife before he was thrown to jail. Tamirat enjoyed substantial level of jail time but allowed to get out of the prison after he allegedly asked mercy form the then PM.

Today, I read Mr. Tamirat’s Amahric article with pretended advise for the incumbent PM Abiy Ahmed. Tamirat’s piece was entitled “ግልጽ ደብዳቤ ለጠ/ሚ አቢይ አህመድ” is only tear of the crocodile. The article not only contain bad connotation to the Oromo nation but also is ill advice to the sitting PM. Tamirat’s Amharic article can be found at: https://www.satenaw.com/amharic/

Mr. Tamirat in his article assumes Irreecha as evil religion of Oromo nation where God of the bible is denied. He accuses the current PM of being Oromo and as such follower of Irreecha thus praising not the God of the bible. Consequently, Tamirat advices PM Dr. Abiy Ahmed to accord Exodus 20:2-5. I have no objection on the religious advice onto the PM as long as the advisee welcomes it. But, my question is why Mr. Tamirat forgot to extend same advice to V/PM Demeke Mekonen who is part of the religion that carries acacia box on head of Orthodox Tewahido priests’ to bring it to river for worship as holy. I do hope such act isn’t contained in the bible verse of Mr. Tamirat (Exodus 20:2-5)

Further. Mr. Tamirat depicts Oromo nation as gentile but Amhara people as elect of God so that must be saved by PM Abiy from the portrayed evil nation. Tamirat quoted biblical verse from book of Esther 4:13-14. First, he should know that it is quite wrong to compare any nation with Jewish people (Israel) because of Genesis 10. In fact, history tells us that habesha kings used to emotionally attach themselves with line of Judah where they have nothing to be related. Anyways, Israel the only nation called is apple of God’s eye. That is why bible classifies nations in to two category: Jew and gentile. Second, the then Jewish nation was under colony of Babylon so that it was fair that Esther played role of liberation of her subject nation as differed from Tamirat’s nation for whom he asks the PM to fight for. Therefore, fallacy of Tamirat is twofold on this issue: asking Abiy to act against his own Oromo nation that was kept under colonial hegemony of habesha and to play evil role against freedom seeking Oromo nation with no unfair political momentum on others. In particular, advising PM Abiy Ahmed, claiming that he is Oromo, against his claim seems paradox. Hence, this kind of advice must be evil like Satan settled on serpent and advised Eve to eat what God forbid. The serpent was not direct but misleadingly asked a question saying “Now … hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” (Gen 3:1).

I think this was quite popular character of habesha religious persons who pretend to be Christian. From history, we can learn plenty of such religious abuse they used to do. Often, the role of habesha priests was in favour of their king but against oppressed nations. Even in the era of PM Abiy Ahmed, I remember that a group of religion leaders visited PM office to tell him raise sword against Oromo nation. They quoted Romans 13:4 to verify their evil advice. But that verse’s context was not in the way they used to promote their evil deed against Oromo nation. That habesha dominated cult group was to provoke evil action on Oromo nation who never had wrong except asking the nation’s right to live as equal with others. If the pseudo religious leaders were religion realistic, they could have advised the PM to take sword as written in the Ephesians 6:17 which says “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”. Being habesha, Mr. Tamirat Layine’s pretended brotherly advice is no different from history of his ancestors and the contemporary act of same group visited PM Abiy Ahmed.

My brief note to PM Abiy is the following. God forbid slavery, injustice, and unnecessary compromise. You can’t be partial for the sake of Ethiopia. Ethiopia is after the nations but not the otherwise. God created everything for the benefit of mankind not vice versa. Therefore, Oromo nation should never be demanded to compromise its inborn right. Habesha never knew thank you. I leave you with the recent statement of President Isaias Afewerki’s comment on habesha nature, one of which is Mr. Tamirat Layne. President Isaias Afewerki’s statement was published on https://kichuu.com and I quote ““የኦሮሞ ህዝብ ትከሻው እጅግ ሰፊ የሆነ ሁሉን ቻይ ታጋሽ ህዝብ ነው። … በክፋቱና በተንኮልኝነቱ የሚታወቅ ‘እባብ’ ተብሎ የሚጠራን አማራ፥ እንደራሱ በጉያው አቅፎና ችሎ … እንደሆነ ትረዳለህ።

Finally I say unto PM Abiy that word of God to the leaders is to judge their people with wisdom (1Kings 3:28) not with deception.
