Jawar is Ossama Bin Laden II in the making. Ossama was considered a hero even by the West when he joined the Mujahedeen Afghan fighters against the then Soviet occupiers. The revolutionary Ossama gradullay grown to become the most dangerous and influential global jihadist who unleashed blood thirsty moslem youth around the world in the name of fighting the infidels.

I see a pattern in the rise of Jawar. He is using the Oromo nationalism, fighting the Neftegna, bla bla, to galvanize the unemployed Oromo youth. Of late, burning down churches, killing Christians is becoming a typical mission of the bloodthirsty followers of Jawar. Ethiopia is now under siege by forces which are evolving to become dangerous jihadist. The Oromo issue is as much a cover for Jawar and his sponsors as the Afghanistan occupation was for Ossama's mujahedeen (blessed and financed by the Saudi Wahhabists).

That Jawar might have foreign backers should be considered as a theory . During the uprising to unseat TPLF young Oromo refugees were found in Cairo in alarming numbers. That was strange. Ethiopia and Egypt do not have a border they share. Those Oromo refugees to reach Cairo they should have gone through Sudan. But refugees do not have right to keep going until they reach a country they want to stay, even if it was for a short time. They cannot be accepted as refugees. Did the Egypt government try to use the Oromo fanatics to destabilize Ethiopia so that the building of the dam will stop? Something to think about.
When the Abiy government came to power Jawar flew to Addis and immediately to the Middle East. I know he is moslem. But I read his almost all articles he wrote to Nazret.com when he was a student at Stanford. There was an obvious sign he was a tribal politician, but not a reason to be concerned that he would be a zealot in his religion as well.
But now where his followers running wild Christians are being killed on broad daylight. That is not a coincidence. Even when tribal politicians have tried to dissect the country to pieces, Ethiopians have managed to keep religion away from politics. That separation is in real danger now. The guy who spread out that hatred, one argue reasonably, is Jawar. The guy seems to be a Trojan horse for the interest of the Middle East religious fanatics. He must be stopped. His wild followers should be tamed.

Just to share the feedback that I got from one renowned Ethiopian political scientist to my suspicion about Jawar’s ultimate goal:

I agree with you 100% the guy is in the pay of the Wahabi movement with deep pockets. Where does he get all those millions with which he finances not only Oromo Qerros but also Sidama Ejetos. When I was in Southern Ethiopia, Jawar came to Awasa and donated 3 million Birr to the Ejetos to carry on the mayhem that brought about the slaughter of numerous innocent persons of non-Sidama ethnicity. Even more troubling, I believe he leads the sleeper cell of ISIS in Ethiopia.

He has repeatedly claimed that 96% of the Oromos are Muslims which is blatantly false, he has also insisted that the Muslims comprise the majority of the Ethiopian population which flies against the records of the 2007 national census which clearly showed that Christians comprised 62.8% (of whom 43.5% were reported to be of Ethiopian Orthodox) whereas Muslims comprised only 33.9%. Jawar's claim is right out of the book of ISIS! The guy is dangerous and should be stopped in his tracks before Ethiopia becomes another Syria.
