TPLF must swiftly move Tigray from victimhood politics to renaissance politics.In this regard, two schools of thought have emerged. One group believes TPLF must only focus on Tigray and ignore everything else, while a second group suggests Tigray’s salvation is only through Ethiopia and thus TPLF must return to Ethiopian politics full force.

Tigray must take a page from our Jewish brothers and sisters and work every corner of the earth to guarantee our survival – the survival of Tigray and her citizens. We live in a dangerous neighborhood. We have always been under siege. And, we will continue to be under siege unless we stand on our own two feet. TPLF must prepare itself and its citizens for all eventualities. It has no more than three to six months to complete all preparations to securing itself, Tigray’s dignity and to assure our future. It should not repeat recent mistakes. The first go-round was fatal for EPRDF. The next one will be fatal for TPLF, and by extension the people of Tigray.

I think TPLF should leave alone the Tigrayan people. Tigray will always be part of Ethiopia. TPLF wants to go back to power badly, that is the reason it is trying to blackmail the Ethiopian people. Tigray does not have definitive boundary lines acceptable to Ethiopia, hence Ethiopia will not let Tigray secede. There is no international treaty that would allow Tigrayan independence without Ethiopian approval/ recognition.

I am not voting against Tigray. I am just stating the obvious. BTW, Eritrean independence was won solely by the bravery and blood of Eritreans. Now, weyane recognized Eritrean independence for it has no choice but save its own hide.

Why are you hurling these benign insults ? EPLF carried TPLF on its back all the way to Minilik palace. Isayas used and abused TPLF as a condom. I really feel sorry for the people of Tigray. TPLF was driven by blind men. When one commits so many lives to independence, why change the course at the last hour ? That is pure crime against those individuals who gave up their lives. Now, unless Tigray is going to war against Ethiopia, article 39 won't do it. Going to war against Ethiopia won't be winnable at all. The world loves Ethiopia. Best strategy for Tigray is to have its own independent government within Ethiopia. Autonomy is the key. Make peace with all of the neighbors and play Taiwan if you can. God forbid, if Ethiopia disintegrates, the region will be in flames.
