Abiy Ahmed and the Hypocrisy of the Nobel "peace" Institute and

In 2009, Barack Obama won the Nobel "peace" Prize, he went on to start more wars than Bush, kept Guantanamo open, became the first president to codify the assassination of American citizens and foreign nationals alike without due process and expanded the unconstitutional spying on American citizens by intel agencies.
Ten years later, Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed wins the Nobel even though Ethiopia is teetering at the precipice of a civil conflagration, has the world's highest number of internally displaced people, the number of church burnings and sectarian strife is rising at an alarming rate and the Ethiopian government is rooted in Apartheid which incites ethnic clashes.
I'm in no mood to celebrate the achievements of ONE man while millions of Ethiopians are bearing the brunt of an economy that turns them into indentured servants of foreign interests. This is a repeat of last spring when too many Ethiopians fell for rhetoric and the marketing ploy that was "medemer" without demanding results.
Speaking of marketing ploys, did you know that the man the Nobel is named after is Alfred Nobel? Guess how he made his fortunes? He was a arms dealer who invented TNT and other weapons of mass destruction. He sold those nefarious inventions to tyrants around the world, he is on the Mount Rushmore of the military-industrial complex. When he was about to pass, he wanted to wash the bloody legacy he had on his hands, so he weaponized his money and initiated a marketing plan. The Nobel Peace Institute was literally a way to reinvent the legacy of a war profiteer.
Goes to show, there is a vast difference between peace marketer and peace maker::
