Maweal 'Jiji' Tesfay, once dubbed the 'Eritrean Ronaldo' & top scorer of the tournament disappears with four teammates on the eve of the semi-final #CecafaU20.
Why would an outstanding talent with a bright future suddenly disappear, on the eve of the biggest match of his career?

Maweal, who graduated last year from the Institute of Technology (EIT) at Mai-Nefhi College and also plays for the local team: Red Sea F.C.

After the game against Djibouti, players of the national team were approached & offered money to wear t-shirts with slogans underneath their offical kit and were asked to display them, when they score and after the game ended.
Talented midfielder and team captain Robel Teklemichael & rising star Ali Suleman allegedly refused the money, on behalf of the the national team. Their response was:

áĽáá˝áĽá á°áá áá á áᢠá¤ááľáŤ: áľáá˘á á°á˛áĄ áŁáâź
A welcome home mass- celebration organised by Eritreans inside the country & in diaspora is underway, to welcome the bronze medal winning heroes- the #RedSeaCamels

Capitano on and off the pitch, with his bronze medal!

Incredible!
In less than 48 hours, we have officially exceeded our goal of reaching the $20000; that is $1000 per player (15 players) and 6 coaching staff members. Keep sharing the link & support our boys, by donating as much as you can
