The Oromo People are taking the opportunity of this year's celebration of Irrecha Festival and making a call to all citizens of the country to come together and build their common country and give the coming generation a bright future and hope. Thereby they are pasing the message of peace and unity, the two major pre-condition of achieving a sustainable development and peaceful future.
- Irrecha is a symbol of peace, reconcilation, forgivness and coming together and thanking the Almighty God for getting us from the rainy season of "winter" to the bright and sunny season of spring. We look forward with hope to the coming season of Spring and clear ourselves from any sense of grudge, hate, resentfullness, retilation and all bad feeling tor our fellow citizens of our country and beyond.
