Did Oromo enslave Amhara in Gondar and Shoa? The evidence shows they did!

Amharas were enslved by The Oromo warriors when they were marching from Kenya to Ethiopia in around 1532. The Oromo waged wars of destruction direct against the male population of the Ethiopians society . They took children of the male population and adopted them as their children. The wives of the defeated or killed male population were taken as wives of the Oromos.

It is said The Oromos controlled Gondar and ruled it for some time until the death of Bafena, an Oromo Queen who was controlling Amhara regions. After the Death of Queen Bafana, the Ormo were dipselled from the palace and were maltreated by the Amhara rulers. They ridiculed them and made them their slaves. But the Oromo still controlled most of Shaoa and South Ethiopia until Menelik II waged wars of destruction against The Oromos.

Menelik divided and defeated The Oromos. Some Oromos were recruited to lead Menelik's army for wars against Oromos. Amhara soldiers were given large tracts of land after defeating and clearing Oromos from the area. After Menelik, Oromos became slaves of The amhara to the extent that they had to change their names to Amhara names.

Now the Oromos are reviving agains , but still divided and could be victims of Amharas.
