Ethiopia should have carried out the water projects long time ago. The Tigray people will tahnk China. The Addis Ababa government is really anti-Tigray as investing in Tigray is seen as something giving they give away to foreigners. aksum is suffering from lack of water and there are no government projects or the government does not carry out any projects. There is no internal flight service to Mekelle International Airport etc

The federal government has been an obstacle to development projects in Tigray. This should not be allowed. Tigray is Ethiopia proper and should get it fair share of infrastructure building. Ethiopia;s government have inferiority complex compared to ancient Tigray. Addis Ababa is backward and tribalist. Not only Tigray other parts of Ethiopia have been suffering from amhara dominated bureacracy in the federal government.

This reminds me of the ex-dictator of the sudan, general jaafer alnumeri (ousted from power in 1985) he was approached by his finance minister then. He told him that they are in dire need of hard currency which they lack to stabilize the market otherwise the broad masses may revolt.

I agree with you most of the projects are financed by china loans but this one is a kind of reward for the Tigray people due to woyane stick with the chines revolutionary governing system America is opposing and want to get rid of it from Ethiopia. understand economy before u open your mouth there is two kind of loan. if u borrow money to buy car, to throw a weeding or travel that is burden you have to pay in full with interest.
