Language is not a means of communication only. It is a way to dominate other cultures. French speaking African countries use French culture, but they cannot be French. They act as if they are French (distasteful). Diaspora Africans use Portugese but they remain bound to their culture of African Negroid culture.

In Case of the Orthodox Church in Ethiopia, Amharic has been formally declared the language to be used in the church after Haile Selassie Mekonnen took power, a grave mistake. Gee should have been the church language as Amharic was not develop as much and was manipulated by the Amhara church to dominate non-Amharas. The Amhara church leaders acted as colonizers, poor coonizers. Through Amharic language, the Amhara culture has been dominating non-Amhara traditions, which in some ways are much more advanced than Amhara culture and identity. In fact The Amhara have a very primitive Bantu type culture. The Amharabelieve in black magic or metet and are very tribal. The Orothodx Church has attacked non-Amhara Ethiopians who flogged to the Church for worship.

The Orthodox church needs to liberlaise and embrace multilingualism. Use Geez as The Church language. Allow Tigrina and Oromo to be used in delivering Church teachings of the Holy Bible.
Otherwise, The Amhara Orthodox church might be declared illegal in Ethiopia and the Clergy could charges of betrayal and sabotage to Ethiopians.
