I don't know why the HGDEF blind followers are advertising this. It's like setting themselves up for disappointment. There won't be any photos back in Asmera. Take that to the bank. The only question is if they play the game before they flee or afterwards

The question isn't whether they will com back or not. The question should be, in the grand scheme of things, what does that mean for you, as an Agame? Thousands have left Eritrea, the majority of them are still under the fold of their own people. As a feel-good anaesthesia may help to soothe your pain for a week or two, but the most important fact is that the last 27 years propaganda didn't save your illiterates from being caged in their godforsaken killil of yours! And still no amount of propaganda will save you from your agonizing existence and ultimate death.

Aye Libi Tigray, always meandering! The sight of Eritreans in Addis Abeba or elsewhere in Ethiopia outside Tigray automatically triggers a feat in you. Instead of learning from your past mistakes and making amends for them, you keep on repeating the same thing again and again with the false hope that a miracle will happen - a miracle that will put you on the saddle of power in Ethiopia once again. Instead of abiding by international law and vacating Eritrean lands, you keep on hastening your demise. Once again, the only guarantee for you survival is to make peace with Eritrea by adhering to the Hague verdict without equivocation or delay and apologizing to the Eritrean people for the misery you have caused during the last 21 years. Any thing else is futile.

Ethiopia opened Maekelawi torture chamber for public visits

In the past, the name
Maekelawi sounded for most Ethiopians as a name synonymous with torture. For a good reason. It has served nearly for four decades as a torture chamber during Colonel
Mengistu Hailemariam’s regime and during TPLF regime, whose main architect was the late
Meles Zenawi.
That dark image of
Maekelawi is now history, as Ethiopian government turned the facility into a museum in what seems to be a gesture to signify a break from the past in terms of human rights violations.
Located in the center of Addis Ababa, the government officially opened
Maekelawi for the public on Friday in the form of a museum. It is opened on the occasion of Justice Day which will be celebrated on September 10, 2019.
As the ruling coalition, Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), faced mounting protests across the country before
Abiy Ahmed assumed office, the executive committee of the party held a meeting on December 2017 and decided to close down
Maekelawi.
https://borkena.com/2018/04/06/maekelaw ... ot-closed/
It has been closed for over a year, now.
Meaza Ashenafi, Ethiopia’s chief justice said, as reported by
Fana Broadcasting Corporation (
FBC), that the facility is opened on Friday for the public as a museum with the intention to learn from past mistakes.
She also said, that the way to heal from the past is by enforcing the rule of law.
Those who were once prisoners in the facility, say that they have experienced horrifying torture. Apart from physical torture, prisoners also experienced psychological torture in the form of unimaginable living conditions from the point of view of sanitation. Some of
Maekelawi's prison cells did not get any sunlight, as they did not have windows.

Etho-feshfash,
why don't you tell us something about the Ethiopian national team which is about to play a game too; instead of your gibberish?
You don't feeling like an Ethiopian, that's why.

The game has just ended, and it's a one-all draw. Ethiopia has now "advanced" to the next round.
i see the game and Ethiopian player play at Z LEVEL .. IT IS A JOKE team .. they have zero control of the ball.. i wish they lose the game sooner and come home otherwise they will embarrass us big time

I'm not a prophet. I simply see reality - unlike the HGDEF blind followers like Zemeselo.
Here is news from 10 years ago:
NAIROBI, Kenya (AP)—The 12 Eritrean national team players who defected during a tournament in Kenya last week say they cannot return home because they will be killed.
The players say they swore an oath to the Eritrean government before leaving the country that they would not defect, a senior Kenyan government official said on Wednesday. The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the information wasn’t authorized for release.
The official said the 12 have applied for an asylum seeker’s pass, the first stage in determining whether they deserve refugee status. The process could take up to three months.
The 12 failed to board a plane from Nairobi with the rest of Eritrea’s squad on Saturday after having competed in the Senior Challenge Cup.
Some of the 12 players entered a government office Wednesday to apply for refugee status. They were dressed in the official Eritrean football team tracksuits, with the country’s name emblazoned on the back.
Nicholas Musonye, the secretary general of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations, said this is the third time Eritrean players have gone missing in events organized by the council, with up to a dozen disappearing during a tournaments that were held in Tanzania in 2006-07.
President Isaias Afwerki, a former rebel leader, led Eritrea to independence from Ethiopia in 1993 but has since turned dictator. Strict government controls on the economy, media and religion in the nation of more than 5 million people have forced thousands to flee.
