Amhara did not only trying to steal Ashenda but the dress, the hair style, the way they lined up, the way the showed up at green grass, the way they clap but despite all effort to look Tigray they cannot be Ashenda goers rather they are using Ashenda for political motive to bring back Tigray to the union. The other effort they are spreading is ISIS while Amhara has many ISIS and friend of Eritrea ISIS.

To me you proved probably otherwise.

As it is a seasonal celebration, priests blessing the girls receiving the new season is festive & appropriate. It is like the Ireecha where they celebrate "god" for all the blessing of the past year.

The Lalibela one is more authentic; not staged, less fake hair, make up and minimal imported stuff. The boys participating looks genuine as side kicks as well; after all, it is not meant to be a "les*bian" show; the girls would like to show off to the boys of their age and the boys are going to hoover around girls to take a pick at them. Who said the boys can't do a little of their own in the background? C'mon! Such an open party shouldn't get wasted. Lots of hook ups/engagements of young people takes place; that is for sure.

Don't take me wrong, I like the other Ashenda too albeit, looking more staged, has a "commercialized" flavor in the whole show, musician on stage, (I like that old lady!) kind of a "valentine day" type of the West with an added entertainment/dance package. Nice! It's future looks very good too; local and foreign tourists will travel north yearly to see the girls entertaining.

Having said that, the two North cities can collaborate. Even do some joint venture shows of girls will be great! They are same people, regardless of what Halafi says, with similar cultures and some peculiarities which makes the entertainment more exciting.
