Wow, wow!
I am unclear why you brought up EZEMA here. EZEMA was denied to come to Bahir Dar by Fanno because of Berhanu’s crappy statements during the election campaign and also because of all the political intrigues while he was in Eritrea. That’s fact whether the denial was wrong or justified. I am personally against it.
I would like to know more about your fascist military occupation claim. If it’s true, I am obviously against it. And I encourage DTT to follow suite. I am equally against violent civilian anarchy, be it in Gurage, Amhara or Oromo regions.
My advice to Gurages is to first overcome their internal differences by themselves before blaming others for their divisions. Amharas have gone through the same process during TPLF’s three decades of brutality and they are finally on the right track to solidify their full identity & unity. But there are always divisions because you can never forge everyone in the same basket. People have the right to support or oppose whom ever they want. Calling them names or threatening them rather than challenging & eventually ousting them on the ballot box will result in a perpetual coercion & division.
Organize, organize, organize!

DTT
PP is ruling Gurage with military force against a unified objection of the population. FYI, as we speak the Gurage people are informing international bodies to initiate a legal case against the Abiy regime and PP on its near fascistic military occupation of a totally peaceful, unorganized, unarmed Ethiopian population. You are comparing apples and oranges. EZEMA was denied a political gathering in Bahirdar. Gurage is forcefully and illegally being abused by a military command post for asking its rights that are written in Black and White in the very constitution of Abiy Ahmed regime. DTT, for a change, stand with justice! What has Gurage done outside of the law that would amount to military rule. I will tell you the Truth- it is an act of racist, genocidal and an intentionally calculated intimidation and abuse of power and ugly attack by prosperity- an illusive tool of a new authoritarian ruling clique. Gurage will fight for its constitutional rights and existential dignity!
Just to point out these
1. There were sporadic, intermittent violence indents carried out at nights in Welkite by armed thugs of Kebena group(Cushitic) began during Kinijit years, in Mesqan Gurage's Enseno town and villages, school boys' genitals and breasts of girls severed and 24 killed, about 30,000 displaced by Mareqo's(Cushitic) criminals just around Abiy came to power, and in Qose town, in Innor Gurage that borders with by Yem oromo minority in Hadiya claim Qose town belonged to the group. I don't remember when the martial law in Gurage was imposed. But, there were no widespread, protracted civilian anarchies that resembled those in Amara to overthrow Hailemariam Desalegn.
2. You are right that Abiy took advantage of Gurages' disunity on its demand for a region of its own.
a)Birhanu Nega and his EZEMA party did not support it
b) Gurage Intellectual Association did write a controversial letter to Abiy, drafted by a group of writers the media face of whom was one young economist residing in German named Dr.Seyoum. The letter, in short, re-iterated how he was busy more important things but that it was their view that Gurage's question for its region is constitutional.
Was a it a ruse, an inside job initiated supporters of Abiy Ahmed, such as Horus? Most probably. All of a sudden, it went quiet when Abiy rejected their deceptive clamor. No follow ups. No more efforts of any kind. Abiy even received apology for not receiving a warm welcome in his first visit to Gurage by the. more or less, the same people who cried loud for Gurage's own region like Horus. Look at Horus! A staunch supporter of anything the bipolar Kid Abiot does.
