What will happen as Sudan and Ethiopia fragment is not something we can predict at this moment. But my personal wish would be to incorporate Eastern Sudan, Afar and parts of Tigray into a Greater Eritrea!

Population replacement is a proven subversive strategy, whether it will work in Eritrea will depend on how land-owning Eritreans (85% of the population organised in ancestral hamlets) will react to the ploy, while the 15% of the population outside the ancestral hamlet system may push for this saying ኣይነበርና ኣይጠፈኣና. Population "ምምልላእ" could work if kept in the dark, but not when confidently espoused out in the open

Afars have never been Ascaris - bending their rear-end for any foreigner or mercenaries.

The Shabian-Eritrea is the text book example of the Western and Arab miscarried their on paper fake country. A disappointing failure story of the century.
