This is the first time that I observed a piece by Prof HT. The late Prof Alem Eshetie, the late Prof Getachew Haile and to a degree Dr Negaso’s G have researched and written extensively on this particular subject.
The truth is out there for those who cares.

This Amhara bashing, specially by the minority ethnic groups, will end very soon catastrophically.
The Amharas protected and spill their blood to safe guard and built Ethiopia, creating a space for the minority groups to flourish and be who they want to be.There is no Ethiopia without the Amharas. The way things are moving, they will soon find out the new hot and intoxicating bromance with the Oromos is not different than the Galla werera of 1500.

It is about time for the Amharas to work on the contingency plan of building and modernizing Amhara around the Gerd dam. The Oromos can move on on their own as long as they guarantee & protect the right and freedom of the 20 million Amharas in their region and so is Tigray. Otherwise it is a waste of time and resources doing the same thing again and again to salvage something that is not salvageable.
Ethiopians proved that they are not capable of governing themselves. Not at this point.

What did EPRDF stand for? Ethnic People Revolutionary Democracy Front or Ethiopian Revolutionary Demicratic Front? It is the latrer. If you can see, am sure you are blind, the ideology is REVOLUTIONARY DEMOCRACY, not ethnic democracy. Others were Alternative Democratic Forces Union, EPRP, etc. High numbrr of parliamentary seats made EPRDF a majority party. Parties with lesser seats were minority parties. Purely ideological.

Sociological minorities exist. This only refers to legal and illegal immigrants into an established territory of people. Obviously, they came to a new culture and language. In most cases learn the language and culture. Like I said, good example of social minorities are Amara settlers all over Ethiopia who came uninvited and illegally. Gurages who live in Dese or Jimma likewise are minorities in Amara and Oromo, respectively.
The governing party is PP, not OPDO. It's says it is reforming EPRDF, made changes for the better. Why don't you believe them?

I hear you. The toxic propaganda and narrative influence the TPLF, EPLF,EPRP and OLF spread won't go that easily, unfortunately.

It is because of this reason that I become an advocate of Amhara Nationalism የአማራ ብሔርተኝነት። we are at the situation that even very moderate nations & nationalities can easily sabotage our existence given the opportunity. It is due to facts like this that I do not subscribe to the ideology of Eskinder branch of Fano.

Psychologically speaking, the hate propaganda spewed against Amhara needs at least 70 years to clear from generations minds and that can only take place when Amharas increasingly become militant, lead by their own son under extreme nationalist sentiment which is going back to its root of medieval times.

I have never seen such a baseless hatred against one group of people, the Amaharas. What knocked me out was that the attitude of the smaller ethnic groups which would never have existed and flourished if it wasn’t the bloody determination & sacrifice of the Amharas. Anybody who takes a little bit of time to read the Gala werrera and the numerous invasions waged against Ethiopia would never, never have celebrated the massacres of the Amharas by Abiye Ahmed Ali.
