I don’t think ethnic federalism will go away by decree. There are a considerable number of politicians who have an invested interest that it stays.
I believe ethnic federalism will wither away as Ethiopia is developing economically. Drying up the very source that fed tribal politics is possible now.
Technology is advancing, transportation is becoming more accessible to millions, people are moving relatively easily where opportunities are abundant, and people who speak different languages aggregate in many cities of Ethiopia.
In such scenarios, tribal politics is gasping for air but to no avail.
This is not wishful thinking ; this is the future.
Politicians do not dissolve ethnic federalism ; Ethiopians do.

Good analysis Horus’s mouth always get there before he himself gets there . His thinking is so corrupted that immediately anyone can read him. My concern is he is affecting Gurage people name and reputation we know he is enemy of Gurage.

That being said, politicians,,who are they? It is Ethiopians that matter politicians are true Enemy of Ethiopians because they cow tow with the nations enemies. 130 million population will perish for one politician view or evil plan? We need to remove every leaders sitting in the govt they are all remnants of Eprdf and Tplf. That is why Abiy/ pp immediately invited Olf, Shabia , Jawar to kill and divide Ethiopians who were once united against Tplf . Aby/ pp is the enemy themselves. What does shiny lights and buildings do for me if l don’t have peace with my neighbors? Aby/pp invited in the enemy because he is tge enemy, swallow that pill, the so called pro Ethiopian cadres of pp are not getting it. Or they don’t have choice or greedy
