ብቻ ለማለት የፈለኩት በዘመኑ ፖለቲካ ሆያ ሆዬ ሳቢያ ሁሉም ያሻውን ይበል ግን ጉራጌ አንድ ቋንቋ ተናጋሪ አንድ ጎሳ ፣ አንድ ሕዝብ ነው ።

Gurages are wise in business and wife formation. Which part or segment of Gurage society is engaged in such pervasive harmful partice? How many wives on average has a Gurage? Is polygamy (keeping as many wives as possible) under one roof a tradition. We know polygamy is common among low-land Muslim Oromo, there are Oromo men having 40 0r 30 kids from 6 or 7 wives.

____ Is Enset or False Banana an endemic plant to Oromo and Gurage only? As far as I know it is almost an everywhere plant and vastly used as food among Wolayta, Kmbatat and even if I am correct, in other African tribes. False Banana is common in areas where population density is high. It is a food choice to cope with food insecurity arising from smaller farmland holdings. I would rather think those Oromo who opted for Enset at some point were either Gurage (before assimilation to Oromo), but now use Enset for food, Oromigna for their language. Other than that Oromo traditionally were pastoralists along the rift valley.

__ Enset now is a favorite food of many Ethiopians. It is delicious with Qittifo.

Another imporrant common feature of Gurage and Oromo culture is bride kidnapping. Of course it is an undesirable culture because it s, both cultures discouraged it and the act is always frowned upon.
