Elias, Nowadays rarely if ever servers do fail. Almost every component of a server has a fault tolerance measures. These measures typically require redundant hardware components that can easily take over when a hardware failure occurs. Are you loaded, Elias ? Here is another suggestion. Standby servers are your saviors. Standby servers are a fault-tolerance measure in which a second server is identically configured to the first one. When the primary server fails, the second server takes over immediately.

The budget does not allow us to have a fail-proof system. It would have been great to have standby servers.

Well, Ato Elias, without trying to sound more knowledgeable about the subject matter but I can say that you opted to overstretch yourself on many issues instead of just focusing on the one thing you have at hand. That could explain why you could be lacking enough budget to modernize your IT infrastructure.
