Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
It was very recently reported that the autonomous region Puntland has ordered those aliens who live in the country illegally to leave. My understanding of this order is that it does not include those who live there legally. The fact is since the signing of the MOU between Somaliland and Ethiopia, those autonomous regions in Somalia have been singing 'Pass The Dutchie!'
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side
It a go bun (give me the music, make me jump and prance)
It a go dung, ya know? (Give me the music, make me rockin' at the dance)
So I stopped to find out what was going on
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
'Cause the spirit of MOU, you know he leads you on
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
There was a ring of dreads and a session was there in swing
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
You could feel the chills as I seen and heard them say
(How does it feel when you've got no food?)
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side (I say)
Pass the Dutchie 'pon the left hand side

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
Wicked thinking!the autonomous region Puntland
To your disappointment, Puntland remains a federal state of Somalia and is not autonomous to date. We know perfectly well that you fuc'king Ethiopians are dreaming to see Somalia cut into pieces. FYI, even if Somalia is cut into a thousand pieces, it's easy for us to come back together again, as we're one hom'ogeneous people that intermarry, speak the same language, and are sharing everything else. Haven't you heard yet, "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"! No country at least in Africa is more suitable to be balkanised than your shithole.
In addition, as far as Galla's deportations from Puntland are concerned, what you do not know either is that over 90% of those dirty Galla in Puntland are illegal fuc'kers.
No more feeling for you Galla fuc'kers. Fuc'k Cushitic, we've nothing to do with you savage animals.

You must be suffering from auditory hallucinations often associated with schizophrenia and other mental health conditions, as you're hearing and repeating what our federal states have never sang. No wonder, you're in your late 70s, and thus are prone to many illnesses, including mental health disorders.I'm just repeating what Puntland, Galmudug and Jubaland has been singing lately.
I wonder whether your carers are aware of the word salad you're posting on this forum, though!

Hey ATMIS! Please don’t leave my country cuz Al-Shabbaab is regrouping. I made kinda mistake by opening my af-woyne to tell you to leave. Please stay! Please, please, please! I’m begging you. You know what? I’m having a second thought about the MOU between Somaliland and Ethiopia. It may be a good idea to discuss about making port facilities available. I’m just rethinking about it. So ATMIS, please stay!!! These stubborn clan leaders are driving me nuts with their clan politics too. I thought it would be easy to bring back the glory days of the biggest af-woyne of all, Ziad Barre. It ain’t that easy, dude! My life is now miserable!

Talking such nonsense only lays yourself open to ridicule. And this is not funny with a man in his late 70s! I bet boredom and loneliness are killing you.
Somalia is none of your business. You should better worry about the wars that are bleeding out your fuc'king poverty-ridden shithole.
You haven't got any guts to say anything about this act of savagery, orchestrated by your own fuc'king savage Galla brothers, but prefer to blabber on about industrialisation in a country where genocide and crimes against humanity are the daily staple and safety and law & order have become something of the past.
What a coward!

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
Hold on folks. My phone is ringing
Hello!
Hey Ittu, it's me.
Hi there Af-Mishaar! Whattaup dude?
What it is! Did you hear the latest from that country I hate with a passion?
Which one?
There is only one country I have the most. Ethiopia, you know that, Ittu! It was reported a few days ago, that country I hate the most has discovered a new deposit of natural gas with a reserve.
That is good news for everyone in the region.
No Ittu! You see, you don’t understand that country. Ethiopia is the country I hate the most. I want to see it destroyed into unsalvageable pieces.
Why do you hate that country, Af-Mishaar?
Because it was created by the two ethnic groups I hate with a passion.
Who are they?
Amharas and Oromos. I have these two people. They don’t deserve to exist.
That is too extreme and bigotry, Af-Mishaar. I’m an Oromo. So I don’t deserve to exist?
No Ittu. You and your Itu clan will be allowed to live after you accept the new designation as Somali Abo.
Keep dreaming smart aleck!
Whatever, Ittu! We will see about that.
Okay Af-Mishaar about your past history going back to the 1970’s. I heard you were a member of a leftist group during your time in Jijgige.
Yes you are right, Ittu. I was an active member of a youth branch of the group.
What happened then, Af-Mishaar?
It was the time the other group I was affiliated with and my uncle Ziad Barre sent his mighty army to retake the Ogaden region that my Somalia was robbed in 1948.
Which was the other group you affiliated with?
ONLF. That is Ogaden National Liberation Front which was founded by my uncle in the 1940’s.
Wow! You come from a long line of politicians, Af-Mishaar! So, what was your assignment from the leftist group during the war?
I was urging the Ethiopian soldiers that their focus and concern should be what is going inside the country, the capital Addis.
Did you succeed?
Yes I/we did. Most of the soldiers abandoned their positions without a fight and withdrew to Jigjige. My ONLF and uncle Ziad Barre’s soldiers easily overrun the entire Ogaden and later on Jigjige itself. By the end of 1977 the entire railway line unto Awash was in our hands.
Keep exaggerating Af-Mishaar. I heard your ONLF had murdered young Ethiopia who escaped Mengistu’s deadly dragnet and sought refuge.
Yes, you are right. They were sentenced to death because they had the potential to be spies of the enemy.
No, that couldn’t be. They were just refugees. It was told that ONLF used them as target practice. They were not even told their fate. They were lined up for fake photo shoot and suddenly mowed down. One of them was my early childhood friend from Western Hararghe. I heard he was a teacher. There was also a 70 year-old elderly woman among those callously murdered by your group. They were all pick out among refugees because they professed a different religion. That is what you call a liberation front, Af-Mishaar?
Whatever, Ittu!
Did you try to save the lives of the murdered, Af-Mishaar?
I was not there. I was sent to Mogadishu on assignment by my leftist organization.
What was you assignment?
To get Somalia’s diplomatic passports for the leaders of the leftist party. They were having problems traveling overseas.
What was the name of the left of the leftist party you were a member of its youth branch?
I can’t tell you that, Ittu.
Are they still around?
Yes they but as a dying party. They have no influence as they used to have. But they propaganda about the war helped my Uncle Ziad Barre’s army. So I hated Ethiopia then and I still hate that country with a passion.
But Af-Mishaar, Ethiopia is a close ally of the USA in the war against global terrorism. What you have been saying and doing have been tantamount to declaring a war on a country that is a friend of USA. That is against the law. Don’t forget there is a law making it a crime to declare war on a nation on friendly terms with the USA.
No, they will charge with any crime for that. Otherwise they will face the ire of my longtime friends.
Who are those friends, Af-Mishaar?
Justine Trudeau and Rishi Sunak including Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Af-Mishaar, do people believe you when you tell them such bovine scatology?
It is not bovine scatology. It is the truth and they all know I’m the only one who has the right foreign policy for the Horn of Africa. That is why I am a legend above legends.
Legends like who?
Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Pele, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Mohammed Ali.
Whatever smart aleck Af-Mishaar!!! Btw, you are seen using the word 'Bantu' as pejorative to denigrate my Oromos and you spit a lot of profanities such as the 'f' word like candies. It shows how you were brought up.
Whatever Ittu!

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
I expect and in some instances aware of the presence of countrymen/women who achieved success and contributed so much to the advancement of technology in various fields in various countries in the developed world. There were/are scientists at NASA and other homes of advanced technology. There are achievers in the new buzz of the town AI. There were/are engineers who ran/are running huge manufacturing facilities here in the West. There were engineers who showed commies China which way is up in making products at factories going back to the early 1980’s. All this has been untold so far but has presence everywhere. My dream is the old country we all left behind will get its acts together and find peace in/with itself sooner if not later and will avail itself for its game-changing skills presently scattered all over the globe. Insha'Allah!!!

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
I just watched a panel discussed that was held in Minnesota with participants coming from various backgrounds and professing different religions. That is encouraging to me. I saw our daughters/sisters taking active parts in the discussion. It was a civil presentation of ideas and I applaud the organizers and moderators. We should not be afraid or hostile to ideas due to the fact that throughout history no one has been able to kill ideas. Even Stalin and Mao had tried to kill everyone with different/opposing ideas. They killed tens of millions but were not successful in stamping out ideas completely. It did not take too long for them to be declared wrong through out their rule by those who after them. Khrushchev's admittance of brutal excesses during the Stalin years sent the commies in every continent is disarray. Mao's right hand hangmen/woman were rounded and sent to jail for life which sent our own commies split up into fragments of irrelevant creatures. I was dancing in the streets during the years 1976-78 when the news of excesses by Mao and his hordes started to come out. Mao killed more than 50 million civilians because he wanted to kill all ideas that he thought were different from his. So, if the current regime back in the old country or those that will come next think they can wipe out differing ideas, that ain't gonna happen. There is also another baseless notion that depicts the old country is seconds away to go belly up. I don't how some people have the nerve or even start to believe that the old country was founded and left to wither away by Good Ole USA after the 2nd World War. When I see and hear individuals with higher education say that, it makes me wonder how did they come up with such wild tale. It means that country never existed before WWII and Truman just on a whim decided to slap together some outfit that was wreaked by mold from head to toe and left it to rot. Folks, stop blaming Menelik and that Barentu firecracker Taytu for creating that country. After watching the presentation by the 'daredevil' I may have to stop calling my country of birth 'the gem of the colored'. It shows how some individuals are dangerously hateful of everything about that country. I mean hateful about everything including its people except their own group of people. But I still encourage organizers of such panel discussion to keep their blessed endeavor. I am sure they have the rightful intellectual horsepower that Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia can not go on in the long run without each other. Greater this and greater that never worked except sending countries spiraling into oblivion. It ain't gonna work. They have to embed in their Allah gifted conscience that when you demonize a country you may entrap yourself into demonizing its people. When you demonize a group of people you may end up having innocent civilians killed/massacred. That has happened inside Ethiopia, Somalia and even in the darling of the Horn of Africa, Djibouti in 1991. Again blessings to the organizers of the panel discussion.
Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
Stop indulging in your stupid hallucinations, as you're seriously losing touch with reality. For your information, the Horn of Africa has been nothing more than a geographic region of eastern Africa to this very fuc'king day. All that countries in this region share with one anther are disputed borders and conflicts. They don't share with one another more than they share with the rest of countries in the broader continent.
Are you telling us that Somalia shares with Ethiopia more than it shares with, say, Uganda or the Comoros? Djibouti, in fact, shares with Yemen more than it shares with your poverty-ridden shithole.
Ethiopia is a cursed land, and all we share, in reality, with it is its curse and anything disagreeable that implies as a necessary accompaniment.

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
There is one important point every Horn of African should always keep in mind. Both the UN and AU(formerly OAU) have made it a conventional law that every African country should respect boundaries in place before independence. That is an inviolable international convention. That includes the Horn of Africa. Everybody knows that, some eyal-Al-souqs notwithstanding who were reared and grew up unattended at bazaars in the Middle East. The people of the Horn of Africa come from the same original people, The Cush. Some may speak languages laced with Semitic vernaculars and others of different varieties. Some may try to relocate themselves in Al-Qahirah or Sanaa with all their bronze skins but to the White Citizen's Council or The National Socialist Party/NSM, they are all you know what! Amharas, Oromos, Tigres, Afars, Somalis, Sidamas, Gambelas and all others in The Horn of Africa or East Africa for that matter are not Yemenis or Arabs. Wait a minute folks! Someone among my own Oromos is screaming at me. After gobbling up a bowl of missionary cake, he is trying to tell me that my Oromos are not of a negro race but Germans. Folks, during my long Allah blessed life I have heard a lot of outlandish things but this one and the other one ‘We are Arabs’ top it all. Therefore, don’t you dare call me an Oromo but a Bavarian!!! Don’t you even think about calling that Somali nothing else except an Arab from Sanaa(but they did not tell us which one, Sunnis or Shias). Let me stop here before they blow themselves up!!!

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
As the age old exclamation goes 'Here goes the neighborhood!!!', when one part of the Horn of Africa goes tranquil, another one catches fire. Some of you who, for some incomprehensible reasons, thought the country you hate with passion, Ethiopia, is no more. You move your jaw saying it has been eaten up by termites and has decayed beyond salvation. You are seen telling us any endeavor to save the dying(dead) 'joint' would be futile. You ltry to tell us Ethiopia as something that never attained the status of 'statehood', but rather a country that was Harry Truman's making of a hodgepodge because he did not know what to do with it after it was left behind by Mussolini after WWII in 1945 and it is a country that deserve to go asunder now. You told it was given a status of an anchor state that it never deserved and you were seen dancing hula hoop when you thought that prestige was unceremoniously taken away because Brother H.E. President Ruto was invited to The White House. All I can say is 'Well, well, well!!!'
Folks, there one thing that has been befuddling me since the late 1960's. That is: Why do some individuals hate Ethiopia so much? Why do some individuals hate Eritrea so much? Why do some individuals hate Somalia so much? Why do some individuals Djibouti so much? All these nations are countries of upright and noble people. Why, why, why? Each one of these countries is the one that gave them the opportunity to get educated or at least provided them shelters and protection in their trying times. Why so much hate? Why?
Peace y'all!!!

Surprised Gurage is not one of your ethnic names mentioned. A case of out of mind, out sight. Trust me Gurage exists and will exist you like it or not.
You can meet Gurages almost everywhere in Ethiopia towns and cities. Much more visible and prominence in business, sports, education and beaurocracy. Real estimated population when not faked political reasons is around 16 million. Gurages are one of the founding ethnic groups of modern Ethiopia from Menelik.
Yet, Gurage did not make your list. You're curious person indeed.

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
Lately there is news circulating on every media websites here among the Diaspora and in the Horn of Africa. It tell how the soldiers from the Ethiopian National Defense Forces had made an illegal incursions into the Somalian territory for no reason and without the permission of the Somali government. This has been found to be another lie by those who hate the old country with passion. There are tens of thousands of Ethiopian troops inside Somalia already under AU sanctioned and endorsed by the UN, ATMIS command. Those soldiers are not Oromos, Amhara or Tigres only but many of them are Ethiopian Somalis. They are from Issas, Hawiyes, Issaaqs, Darrods and of many Somali clans born within the Ethiopian borders but some of these so-called experts in the affairs of the Horn of Africa try to tell us as if an Oromo Army is invading Somalia, as if an Amhara army has just invaded Somalia and it will not be too long before they add Tigres to their counts. What is new with these 'Ethiopia' haters, right? The latest hints show these Ethiopia haters are so unhappy that the Somali Region of Ethiopia has been so peaceful so far where you can hear a pin drop that they are working 24-7 to pitch one Somali clan against another Somali clan within Ethiopia and they are bragging about it. Someone should remind them that it is against the law of their residence to plan and incite bloodshed inside a foreign country which is a staunch ally of The West against terrorism. That is if they listen to you.

Ethiopia manufacturing potential is a massive , it can replace countries like Cambodia and Vietnam in a very short period of time. And it has the GERD to fuel the manufacturing engine. The economy of the horn is interconnected. And each geographical area is good for something. If Ethiopia economy improves there is no doubt the whole region will improve too. Countries like Somalia and Eritrea are stuck in the past but their citizens are far more better traders than the Ethiopians and exposed to the entire world . Ethiopia should adopt a free market policy.
You can manufacture whatever , but if you don't have good trade partners, it won't go anywhere. I believe most of horn Africans are well aware that we are lagging behind the world. Because they see even citizens of EAC ( the east African community) Have better Life compare to the average habesha or Somali. Somalis are investing hundreds of millions In places like Kenya contributing the EAC development. But don't invest in their own homeland or Ethiopia. the peaple with the money are running away from us because of the instability.

Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
Any call for a dialogue for peace should be taken as a good start. In all conflicts raging in the old country, there will be no winners but only dire consequences. Tens of thousands of young people will lose their Allah blessed lives and tens of thousands have already lost their lives. Tens of thousands will be left with lifelong bodily and emotional injuries and there are ten of thousands of such injured people already. Hundreds of thousands and even millions will be driven out of their domiciles and there are millions of internally displaced citizens already. The destruction of property and infrastructure we see now is unimaginable. Peace and stability have departed that gem of the colored in certain parts of Oromia and Amhara. With all these calamities that have befallen that country, there are among us here in the Diaspora who have been fanning the flames of war in their hideous scheme of profiting from it. They send their children and loved ones to schools here but they encourage and incite the youth both in Amhara and Oromia regions to March into an awaiting raging flame. These are the after births that country produced since 1974.
Meanwhile I tell this to the military man who announced the government is ready for a negotiated truce. I suggest the following to make any dialogue for sustained peace and stability possible.
1) The government should stop arresting civilians on dreamed up or trumped up charges.
2) Release all political prisoners with no preconditions
3) Declare official amnesty to those who are aimlessly roaming the wilderness now.
4) Invite outsiders like the former president of Nigeria, Brother Obasanjo to arrange meetings for peace agreement between you and both the armed groups in Amhara and Oromia regions.
5). Repatriate those citizens displaced from both regions regardless of their ethnicities.
On the fighting group sides:
1). They should declare cease fire now.
2) They should release all prisoners of war they are holding now.
3) They should abandon this wild and impractical idea of founding a separate republic. It ain’t gonna happen.
It is quite that simple for those who decide to seek peace and stability. Oromos and Amharas, Oromia and Amhara regions are Allah gifted backbones of that Blessed country, if they are in disarray the whole country and the Horn of Africa at large would be in disarray. Then we will see the entire 135+ millions of people will be on the move in all directions. These wise aleck bigots here among our Diaspora know that and that is why they will keep fanning and blowing the flames of war and utter destruction from their comfy and safe homes in Minnesota, Toronto, LA, Michigan, Scandinavia and Down Under. Some of you even have the audacity to tell us that Ethiopia never existed and it is in an irreparable state of decay. The last person who claimed that was none other than Mussolini in 1936 and we all know who decayed hanging upside down. You know who you are. I wish you were not even born.
Peace y’all!!!

I am with you in your assessment regarding the potentials of the Horn Africa as the whole. All of them have untapped natural resources and youthful generation that can tear down mountains. If there is sustained peace and stability every one of them has what it takes a country of vast middle class. That won't happen without an all out industrialization. Industrialization won't materialize without peace and stability maintained. I honestly believe that every one of those countries has the skills to carry out region wide industrialization from such skills now scattered all over the globe. The literacy rate is up in every one of them. We are all adaptable/adapting people. All they need is peace and stability.
Peace y'all!!!
Re: The Old Country and The Entire Horn of Africa Must Be Industrialized!
As if the HoA were a country or a united regional bloc, when in reality it's nothing more than a number of countries that are in perpetual conflicts between one another and all they share happen to be disputed borders and nothing more than they share with the rest of countries in the continent.the potentials of the Horn Africa
Your should better focus on the destructive wars, one after another, that have been bleeding out your shithole, the crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and the wide spread mass atrocity crimes that have lately become the daily staple in your poverty-ridden shithole, and the looming threat of disintegration, which is in the process of unfolding gradually.
As I said it earlier, it beggars belief that your priorities revolve around the poor industrialisation and how "to create a sizable middle class in a society" in such a country at this very juncture!
You remind me of the famous quote, "Let them eat cake" - "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche"
