I once had a conversation with a Ukrainian man who wanted to know why my country Eritrea voted against a UN resolution condemning Russia, apparently for the same exact things that NATO countries did in Libya, Syria, Iraq. Mali, Ivory Coast.. etc..

I tried to point out to him the obvious hypocrisy and double standards behind the politically motivated UN resolution that didn't have his country's best interest at heart, but rather fans the flames of turmoil and disaster in the Ukraine, just because some people in some countries felt the need to use Ukraine as a stick to poke the Russian bear.

Those who criticized Eritrea for taking a principled stance against the politically motivated UN resolution that reeked of hypocrisy and double standards, are awfully quiet today when they see Ukraine voting against a UN resolution that seeks to establish a new international economic order which gives African countries more control over their own affairs and destiny. :|
