My criticism of you has precisely something to do with that tendency. A person of your experience & caliber shouldn’t collectively bash any tribe. I am also critical of your expectation that people should be either supporter or hater of the current government. Sleazy woyanes are of course cheering you up nonstop. Obviously, they will cheer up anyone that wishes Abiy’s demise & jeopardizes his ability to defeat them. Woyanes have publicly told us that their primary goal is to dismantle Ethiopia even if that would mean working with the devil. Therefore, they are Ethiopia’s #1 enemy & I strongly disagree with anyone that facilitates their strategies directly or indirectly. They have killed half of me & I don’t want them to come back & kill my other half.

Yes, several atrocities & crimes are being committed under the current administration & everyone on the chain of command is responsible for that. That means EZEMA, Berhanu Nega & all the business beneficiaries that you repeatedly mention aren’t immune from it either unless we selectively exclude them & recognize the absence of a cohesive chain of command. Obviously, each social group, each political entity & each faith organization have distinct agenda & expectations, compounding & multiplying the issues further & creating a space for woyanes to take advantage of.

I personally don’t think the flag question is that critical although I hate to see any pentagram on our national symbol & no one should be arrested or killed for carrying a flag of their choice. Being able to carry my flag in Gondar, Gojjam or Debre Birhan is to me a big achievement compared to the complete ban until 2019. But that’s just the first step. I therefore find it strategically wrong to dismiss everything in Abiy’s government without having a plan B. Yes, let’s shove & pressure him for all the illegal actions.
