This artificial Green Revolution is sponsored by Abiy Ahmed stolen from Germany and applied only in Oromia so do not argue with me I am not agricultural minister of Amhara Region

Dawi,

please don't mix here again. what you are talking about is about state farming, which also used tractors and run mechanized farming. I knew about that (there were a number of state farming in the country during Derg era).

WHat the video here shows is a mechanized private farming of the small farmers, this is new for me.
Defend,

The following stories are from the "Horses mouth"; they're families of people who did commercial private farming using tractors. I personally knew folks who owned small commercial lands.

Dawi,

well, I was not talking about commercial farming, be it state run or private, what I was alluding to was the small house-hold farming.

Even if private commercial farming was existent during the Derg and HIM Haile-Sellasie, it should have been only very few, limitted to few fertile areas, I guess.

It seems you are really determined not to acknowledge what the current administration is achieving in the country, empowering the small house-hold farmers and giving them all a new opportunity, isn't it?

The video I shared is from Jimma area in Ethiopia and in it some of the speakers were highlighting that the practice has been started in almost all zones of Oromia region now, with tangible positive change.

It is also perhaps pitty that even this seemingly about green revolution in the Amhara region was only presented in connection with the usual aree goraw, aree goraw, Wolkayit Tsegede, Wolkayit Tsegede....

Your bias VS Amhara is a bit appalling! "Wolkayit Tsegede" where cultural suppression, expulsion and genocide took place that is. BTW, "aree goraw, aree goraw!" is the tip of the iceberg. If the loonies don't stop and continue to provoke them, you've not seen nothing yet!

Be that as it be, if what you're seeing in the present small farmers activity in Oromia shall create advancement or qualitatively difference & better than the past small commercial farms activities with larger capacity is something we will all find out soon.

So, by any means, I won't stand against progress of any kind, to the contrary, wish them all the success. We are in the same book!

Cheers!

Dawi,

one more point for the record:

admittedly, by the proponents of seizing the land themselves, the area was said to have been misappropriated by some sort of use of force, not following a legal means, if I followed the discussion well.

Now the claimants are also using the same use of violence to regain what has been taken from them by use of force. Isn't it?

Here is where I said: ጉልቤን ከጉልቤ ምን ይለየዉ? This question begs an answer still now after a number of months.

They said, we will make sure that they will be receive with a welcome mat.

If this message is serious we will see in about 2 to 3 years, I guess.

Cheers
