i find out Prof. Ezekiel was at his best let me remind u few of his counter attack

1. Amharic is an Amhara language, not Ethiopian language ... if it is Amharic would have been called Ethiopic just like the French language called the French language, the English language called the English language, Japan Japanese language, the Oromo language called afan Oromia ... Golden, Golden language ....

2.. Amharic language thought in school, but Afan oromia and other ethnic language thought at home from your mama and Dad ... without education, u might not even lean Amharic (i am talking about 96%) so the government spends billions of birr developing Amharic .... in our birr note, in our theater, book and government working language all those exposures make Amrhic a leading language

3. under Amhara rule the Amhara noblemen become a landlord. who rent seeker never worked in their life .. this character of Amhara never left them they always seek rent instead of becoming productive .. yes Derg might take the fatherland but the children's mind never changed they still rent-seekers..

Amhara thinks those who work r poor or fool what the Amhara want is using the government power to land of some kind of advantage and in return rent this advantage and get rent .. it could be corruption, or holding a permit that allowed them to rent it to earn rent.. one amhara say to me why meles building Nile dam we could easily ask Egypt to pay us water tax ... u see never want to work ..

4. about fed. system .. everyone wants Golden to break away from Ethiopia but the Golden still in union why because of fed. system .the oromo also stays in a union because of fed. system the Somalian stay back to why because of fed. system so it is foolish to think Amhara abolishing fed system and still have our union .. even Erutreaan never left after the referendum they want to live in Ethiopia as long as tplf followed fed system... so my point is the Eritrean hate centralized system if we Ethiopia followed fed system they will never left even they will join now .. as long as Ethiopia ruled by fed system

5/ anyhow i forget many of his points but it was deep knowledge if someone wants to hear him out this guy could be our salvation army..

Yohannes' would have implemented Tigrigna as an official language if he found it appropriate? Don't you think so? After-all that is the language he spoke at home. the implication that i should continue Atse Yohannes "mistake" just because he is Golden make more upset then ur misunderstanding what we all arguing about ... (even so Atse Yohannes million reason for keeping Amharic as working language ) we cant bond in what Atse Yohannes did otherwise we have to move Ethiopian capital to Golden city too. because Atse Yohannes did that also we cant cheery pick what Atse Yohannes did nor did ...

forget Atse Yohannes even the golden kids descendant of Axumiate... did not change Amhaic as national language no body even my self doesnt believe we should change our national language ... what the Golden kid did was kept Amhric as national language while allowing other regional language as state working language side by side ... if u see in oromia and Golden they all learn Amaharic plus their own mother tongue... and this is almost prefect solution what i should add if i can was Amhara also must learn a second language this way every Ethiopian students speak two language... if u allowed me to add one more at university level each Student learn the local language as subject .. for example ..if an Amhara student went to attend university of Gambelle then he must study Gambelle language 101 as subject this is the best thing take away for student because he will be always Gambelle by choice if he speak their language .. that is what u take with u when u learn the language...

now tell me who said Amharic is not our national language ... it is but Regional also have equal right ..

now about ሻላቃ ... i dont know he is an oromo but if he cant speak Afan oromo that is great lose ..that is what the Golden meles try to prevent .. second the ሻላቃ lived in Eritrea 17 years and he was 17 years when he join the army the best time to pick up language but he did not learn the language .. that is his lose.personally

my beef is not he should learn one of Eritrean language ... he should at least learn the major language as Governor he must speak the local language there is no if or but.. or try to learn all it take is 6 month ... okay he is not required to learn Afar if he is Eritrean Governor but if he representing Afar for some reason then he should be required to learn.. Afar language ... or the post should be given to those who speak the local language when every thing is equal...

this doesn't mean if the Afar people doesn't have a Afar speaker doctor they should live without one it doesn't mean that way.. it mean if u have two doctor one who speak Afar and the other doesn't he choice the one who speak if everything being equal.. now if there is no Afar speaker doctor u take the one who doesn't speak but u tell him to study the language or encourage him to study the language because the doctor have to communicate with the people he serving and it is kind of respect learning their language... in this case the language skill is preferential

but there is where the language skill required for example Awasa industrial park want to hire 60,000 workers and 100,000 would be workers apply.. this time u will say speaking Afan oromia is required ...and Amharic is optional or any other language is optional ....

now if u need 100,000 workers and only 60,000 apply u will say speaking Afan oromia is optional and the rest u give them language lesson at night school and give them incentive to do so by giving them incentive for learning the language .

now tell me where is the problem we dont have to go to war to make everyone happy.

here is practical example where the Amhara doesn't get it.. the logic of give and take


in 1991 Ethiopian nation and nationality come together and discussed about the flag ... the could have change the flag all together but they were reasonable they kept the old flag but with small change ... this is the best compromised ... the Amhara should be happy at least TPLF kept the flag color .. in exchange the Amhara also must give in return that is the star on the flag that is the cost of keeping the old flag.... to me the start someone without any skill of art just draw free hand the star is ugly .. but that is not the point the point is compromising must be reached .. the nation and the nationality was very fair to keep the flag as it is ..so now tell me what is the problem with the Amhara rejecting the new flag saying it is tplf flag when i see the whole nation and nationality vote on the flag .. if u want let us do referendum on the flag and let see which flag other ethnicity choice it is very simple but just because the Amhara so called Ethiopian want to imposed on other doesnt make it right... i know u going to argue this flag example .. but i already give up if u understand , understand if not i give up ..
