Somaliman short answer is they feel like they have something to prove to Eritreans. They think they're in some kind of competition which means that you won't find many of them are willing to cut off their own leg if it meant cutting Eritrea's legs. And given the recent 20 years of hostilities from Ethiopia due to Woyane control, on the Eritrean side you have nothing but contempt for Tigrayans. What is strange to me is why they think Eritreans would be friendly to Tigrayans given that that they're still refuse to leave our people and lands alone. The kind of anger and hatred Tigrayans have instilled in Eritrea towards them will take many many generations to simmer down and even then this stuff isn't going to be forgotten. No. I know Eritrea well enough and I have actually quite number of Jeberti friends. They are closely related to the Tigrais and Biher-Tigringya. Many of them converted to Catholic by the Italians but many are Muslims too.
